Well as an enfp that chose the path of diligence in studies and certain hedonism I realised I have to be somewhat alone to avoid developing too many addiction But I also stop seeking people naturally as now I observe people in silence underdeveloped my social abilities so i have a hard time knowing what to say and my ideas are difficult to be expressed so I still got much to learn and I said this whole comment to expect a reply whether my life sucks idk but a fortune teller told me I an going to suffer a one sided marriage

@John Morgan first off, thank you for your delightful comment. yes I agree. As an ENFP writer and journalist, how could I NOT know these words, right? Fortunately we are the types that see beyond the surface and read between the lines. So I'm sure you could intuit what I meant by- I "learned" that these are THE "20 new vocabulary words" to describe our personality, hence can now copy paste to social media profiles and save time so I don't have to take a moment coming up with my own words to describe myself etc 😀

I have a friend and a co-worker who I think is an enfp. I could say, most of this words truly fit her. She's bubbly and fun. And as an introvert, she's one of the select people I'd love having around. We have lots of deep talks and meaningful conversations that I love. To me she's like the sun, but she once told me that sometimes, she's like a moon too. There are times when she's in the dark and not always that she's complete. She's one of the few people whose friendship I'd treasure for life even if in the future we'll make our separate paths.

@@fowchiiiliedpuppiesdied thank you, I love this explanation. To return the favour, INFJs have always been my greatest inspirations and the ones who can not only see the same depth I see, but also put the important parts into words. Delenn from Babylon 5 was my first guiding light as a teen; Beau of the 5th Column is currently giving me hope for the world; and my greatest inspiration in life is my mother who is an xNFJ. I was watching Frank James video of types interacting with their shadow types. Most of them were at odds with each other, but the ENFP and INFJ formed a natural team without even having to talk about it, making me grin.

Bittersweet - I've always struggled with this and it's been a source of anxiety for me. Never in any moment have I truly felt singularly happy or sad. Even in most of my happiest moments , I've been haunted with cynicism. And even in some of the most painful times, I've found myself smiling , even laughing at the irony. And it's terrified me to think that I can't truly be completely happy or sad. Logically speaking, it is an advantageous trait, but it still bothered me. Now I know I was never the only one.💚💚💚

Intimidating is one I get, “intimidating but kind” was said to me recently. I wasn’t sure how to take it but I don’t mind tbh. think it’s that childlike directness coupled with being rebellious and quickly reading links in ideas and people which people aren’t used to seeing so they’re intimidated by it. I’d be mortified if someone was genuinely scared of me however that is never what I’m putting out there. I’m nice! 😂❤
@lexandorseda
@lexandorseda Жыл бұрын
I think we’re also intimidating by being unpredictable even to ourselves. Not to mention the fact that other types regularly underestimate us. Matured ENFPs can create drastic changes at a fast rate which also scares people who don’t like change and prefer structure. We may take the whole ‘New Year New Me’ game seriously since we learn and move so fast making us unrecognizable to people we used to know
@crystalemullen
@crystalemullen Жыл бұрын
I think the simple fact that we're extroverts is enough to begin having people be intimidated by us albeit unintentionally. I know myself I talk loud and I talk fast and I move fast. People who are more introverted or reserved or prefer to move at a steadier pace find that a bit unnerving. Also, I don't mind it when children find me intimidating because it's always during a time of discipline when a firm word or direction is necessary. I always tell the kids I'm in charge of "I could be your best friend or your worst nightmare how you behave determines what you get." Finally come as champions for the misfits and the disadvantaged. I think if you put us in a corner where someone we love is being mistreated we won't be intimidating we'll be downright scary! I rarely get to that point anymore but when I do don't mess with me just give me what I want and everything will be nice again.

I feel like bittersweet is a unique point and I would love to hear more about it. The depths of beauty and profound sadness can sometimes look the same and it’s a very difficult dichotomy to have to experience and embrace. Heavily related to the part about pouring your soul into your creations. I’m an artist who does exactly that with my works and if I don’t feel a personal attachment to something I’m creating I drop the project and start a new one… yes I have many unfinished works 😂 oh well it’s part of the learning process. If my soul isn’t in the piece I don’t want it. I love using the words paradoxical, intense, scatterplot, colorful, jumbled, anonymous, open hearted, flirty, random, and psychedelic to describe my ENFP brain. I strongly feel that many couldn’t handle peering into my jumbled scatterplot of a thoughts.

The F in ENFP basically means that a person is selfish. Not necessarily in a bad way, but they thrive on feeling good, and are (from the perspective of others) wholly incapable of tolerating negative emotions. This makes them seek out things that gives them positive vibes, and avoid negativity like the plague. (That’s why they’re “childlike.”) But, because they’re also extroverted (and not greedy or materialistic), the things that give them good feelings are almost always other people - shared experiences, social life, and happy gatherings. This mutes their innate selfishness, and makes them fun to be around. In short, ENFPs are indispensable at weddings, and useless at funerals.

Bittersweet - I hate this word. Honestly, I think bitter just works, in most contexts. People say "oh it's bitter sweet" and then they just list the negatives. No, that's just bitter. Lol. Also, thank you for mentioning that we are not just optimists. I describe myself as a realist, and that includes the good as well as the bad. Pessimists tend to co-opt the word realism but that's just a lie. Because they're ignoring the good. (But I think it's because they are trying to feel guarded and secure, and when you are under attack, you don't want to show your vulnerabilities.) But yeah I get accused of being naive, optimist, idealist, etc, and it's usually an insult from lesser life forms

I'm a current ENFP who's now 28 years old (and former ENFJ, from ages 18-21) who is married to a 30-year-old INFJ man for a few years (and dated while I was an ENFJ)... and I gotta say... WOW. I caught myself blushing as I reminisced about how he told me that I represent various words in this list (while the remainder of the list God told me Himself through self-discovery and maturity). I thank you for the time and effort you put into this and look forward to the INFJ one so I can see how I already describe or could possibly better describe my husband's perspective/personality traits. 💯👍🏾😁 😊🎉*squeals with excitement* 🤭🥳

That's not how types work. You can't be former anything. Consider ESFJ btw, Fe dom with decent Ne may seem like ENFP.

The reason ENFPs are child-like, is because we choose to embrace those parts of ourselves. Those parts of ourselves that were there since the beginning, those parts that the world is constantly trying to kill. Without dreams of childhood, painful as they may be to bear, the world is locked into a stasis.

You know, this is the one .. I was feeling like an ENTP might be me for a while, then see. .. along came something said about ENFP and I was off again, floating free I did ponder, as I did wander If I could be that over yonder or should I stay home and cease to roam instead of through the world carome? Yaye or Naye, thither or yon .. Should I go or just be gone? Could I belong among the throng, known so gleefully as ENFP? Which is to say, I heard something that made me wonder if I hadn't settled too quickly. Then, I proceeded to iinvestigate every other possibility. I landed on or near, instead of coming straight to here.

I love that word too! Actualization. That is one of my mantras. I used to think I was actualized because of being gay. I thought that coming out of the closet caused me to face myself and realize who I am. But I couldn't understand why im so different from most gay men. Sure im flighty but im not quite so... catty. Im not a group type person either, cuz I like to be different and gay guys can't stand that from me. So I think about actualization a lot. And now I think it's more because of my personality type. As an NF.

Probably the best show I’ve seen! I loved the Buddhism references especially since I recently became a Buddhist. But the real question is: Is Michael in hell and the show is just his journey for him to reach Nirvana? You may notice the opening seen starts with him and the very last seen finishes with him .. My ENFP boyfriend and I loved this series

The answer for the question seventeen are alpha brain waves. Adults are mostly in beta waves and children mostly in alpha. My theory is ENFPs have special talent with reaching different brain waves at will. Read about brain waves if you want, its surprisingly intresting.

remember that the effervescent sensations you felt with them are actually inside you!!! all the fun and exciting positive energy they shared with you was half you, you can pull that to the surface and enjoy it anytime you want. the feelings you had with them, you can still feel in a variety of situations (you don't need the specific person as a direct stimulus) hope your heart feels peaceful very soon!! don't forget to your upset feelings with you and go for a walk in nature, art museum, do something to experience some opposite emotions... big hug!
