55:00 The bug that affected Valkyries was the fact that in the original Star Craft there was a hard limit on how many sprites can be on the screen at any given time. Valkyrie attack generates a lot of sprites and they usually fire when a lot of other units and effects are in the game. What ended up happening is that Velkyrie was going to fire but cuouldn't spawn the sprite needed for its fire animation, so the the whole attack just didn't happen.
@Yessia2

Glad it was fixed in remastered. I remember day 1 brood war release myself and 3 friends watching his dad play the game and making a valkyrie for the first time and we were all like "wtf it's a girl" the 144p box art did not lead us to believe that lol.

Terrans play too scared versus zerg, always reacting with the same crap every game sitting in their base building turrets with marines and medics majority of the time. They need to change it up and be more aggressive early more often. Bunker rushes, Vulture rushes, vulture drops, Marine Medic drops, quick wraiths into quick valkries, etc. instead of playing the "safe" game versus zerg.

Soulkey's run was crazy. It's not like he had an easy run. He faced the two players that everyone else was trying to avoid and rolled them. His set against Snow was especially crazy considering how close their set in S16 was.
@jesse1381
@jesse1381 18 күн бұрын
@@leggchanyu This is absolutely true. During the course of his 3 straight championship run Soulkey has beaten nearly everyone that is worth beating. JYJ, then an epic semi with Rush that went 7 games, then Mini in a finals. Mini again, then he crushed Snow in 6 games after being down 2-0, then a 7-game epic finals with hero. Now in SSL he beat Light in a solid 6 games, demolished Snow again 4-0, and the finals with Sharp was a formality. Rush and hero were close and Rush in particular was a hair away from winning his game 7 but otherwise the result of the other series was never in doubt. I definitely would've liked to see a rematch with Rush and/or hero. The only top 10 players Soulkey hasn't met during his run are Queen because his form has fallen off to the point where he no longer makes the playoffs, Royal who also hasn't been playing well or doesn't seem to care about the playoffs as much anymore either after he won his ASL, and Flash who has been absent for several years.

@@jesse1381 that's a nice summary of Soulkey's path. For me, the player that impressed me more with his play was JyJ in seasons 15 and 16. Since I don't watch starcraft besides SSL, I don't know in what shape he is, but if I can make a guess, I think only him, Rush and the top zergs have a chance against Soulkey right now. Not even a single Protoss. Not even Mini. I hope Flash returns with great shape next season, so the tournament becomes more interesting again

@@jesse1381 And in the couple seasons before that, he had some of the most f'd up RO16 groups and got out of them, too. S14 was ZvZ hell where he had to beat both Queen and Soma to advance, and S15 he took down Snow and Light (after losing a BO1 with Best). He's earned his trophies by beating the very best, no question.

About the Valkyrie’s bullet convo in game 2: The Valkyrie’s problem in the past was the bullet sprite limit. If there were a lot of ranged units attacking, the Valkyrie’s attack sprites would stop spawning in the game. Current SCR’s bullet limit is 4x what it the original limit was, so Valkyries can be on the map without the sprite limit hindering them.

Well played by Sharp, especially throughout the whole reason, performing better than Terrans who were supposed to be better than him. I look forward to another strong performance from Sharp, as a zerg fan his performance this season was super impressive.

Congrats to Soulkey! Three in a row is a massive achievement. But let's be honest - he is the first one winning three in a row because there isn't a bunch of level designers trying to stack a whole tournament to work against Zerg. Wink wink, Flash rules.

SOULKEY BONJWA As a zerg, this season has been cathartic watching terran and protoss tears shouting zerg OP IMBA when all the other zergs have sucked and Soulkey makes way fewer mistakes than all the other top players and astrogaps them strategically in a macro and micro sense. He's just better.
@Hawkize31

@@Hawkize31 last season, snow said he made a shit ton of mistakes vs soulkey and said he only played at 30%. this season he played even worse. snow mostly lost because he played poorly. snow's micro is one of the best in the world, but his strategy in PvZ has historically been terrible, although it has been getting better. also reaver is not so good in PvZ until late game.

Blows my mind that the SSL/ASL with the least Zerg representation is the time everyone starts to cry Zerg OP. Annoys me that people try to discredit Soulkey by saying he plays an OP race when he's just a monster of a player. Same thing happened in Flash's era; Flash is dominating so Terran must be OP right? Nah Flash was just that good.
