【Synopsis】The movie tells the story of Qian Yi, a pediatric expert. More than 900 years ago, during the reign of Emperor Shenzong of the Northern Song Dynasty, Qian Yi, a pediatrician, experienced ups and downs in his medical career. He obtained the status of an official by treating the eldest princess' daughter and the prince Yi Guogong, and was bestowed by the emperor. The medical book《小儿药症直诀》(Pediatric Medicine and Symptoms) written by him is the earliest monograph on pediatric medicine in the world so far.

A movie that is all the most interesting because nobody in our countries know about people like this doctor, at a time when occidental science was still in dark age… the story is however very unfortunately still true, that new ideas are rejected by tradition freaks who cling to them to protect themselves…
