A covered song is always an interpretation or rendition from an artist covering the song. Mori and Darren sang the soundtrack beautifully enough for a child story called fairytale. Darren I think in this case rendered in a way of courting and how to convince his princess to come to his magical world. Mori as she is, a slayer of interpretation she will tell you a story and brings to a situation in a song. On the other hand the voice of Park(don't know him really) is superb. He reminds me of Martin Nievera, Philippine power house having that heavy voice but can reach high tone. His interpretation is like he loved so much his princess, he doesn't want to lose her. For Sohyang, I take she is a celebrated singer in Korea right? For me her combinations of her own tones doesn't harmonize. I apologize if this is the way I see this. That is why it is never good to compare and contrast unless it has something to do with research. E.G. same rice seeds observing its growth with different treatments...

No doubt these 2 Koreans are fantastic singers. I think their difference with Mori and Darren is how they pronounce, inunciate the english words. And also the diction. other than that all of em are great singers

Darren and Morissette's version was commissioned by Disney for Aladdin's promotion. They were instructed not to go astray from the original Disney version. They could've easily turned it around and made it their own unique version if Disney was not involved.

Their harmonies are amazing. Park Hyo has a beautiful dreamy voice. So Hyang did not do well here. Park Hyo lost his shine when So Hyang started the duet. Their harmony isn’t as great. Park Hyo should partner with Morissette or Lea Salonga. Lea is still the best singer for this song. Darren and Morissette are singing inside a bus. If they were in a stage it would feel different. Park Hyo and So Hang are singing in a stage. If they were in a bus it would feel different.

Morissette had big shoes to fill, singing "A Whole New World" since the original singer is world-renowned Disney princess/theatre actress, Lea Salonga (who's also Filipino, btw)! Both Darren and Morissette did a great rendition! Park Hyo Shin has this deeper, whole and powerful voice and I can understand why you look up to him - he's an amazing singer! I would suggest to look up the original singers of the song -- Brad Kane and Lea Salonga -- singing it 25 years since they recorded it, on Good Morning America.

I think when it comes to disney's ost, Filipino singers sings best because of the diction, clearness and ofcourse the voice. Actually, our dear Morissette personally met Mr. Alan Menken, the man behind some of Disney's timeless hits, and of course the genie himself Mr. Will Smith in Tokyo, Japan when she got invited by Disney. She got the privilege to sing this song with Alan Menken where they praised the phenomenal voice of her. This song's version of her and Darren is truly astonishing. The way they deliver their emotions, the clarity of their voice, and the enunciation are just perfect. Nevertheless, Park Hyo Shin and So Hyang did a great job too.

During an interview Darren said that Disney told him to sing it the way he did for the ad. FYI, the original female singer for Aladdin is also Filipina and her name is Lea Salonga, she is also the voice for the song Reflections in the movie Mulan.✌️🙏

Park Yo Shin's style seemed like a typical Korean ballad. It's a little breathy. Hearing his take in that Disney song gives me a feel of an older Aladdin character while So Hyang's seemed like a child version. All of them, no doubt, are good singers but the arrangement and how they adjust their voice to suit the characters being portrayed make the difference.

Thank you for letting me hear Park Hyo Shin's voice. His voice are for those big and heavy emotional songs because i can feel passion in his voice, Soyang is good but in this case partnered with Park Hyo Shin leave her a miles a way, I think he should be partnered with someone who can match his voice from tone, clarity, soul, timber, presentation and passion. His voice is first class I love it. I'm not a singer but i love music. Damn!! i really really want to hear Park Hyo Shin's voice with Morisette singing in Korean song or any other song, i wonder how it will sound?! i'm dying to hear it.
