I think this video makes total sense with the lyrics... she’s the president of the US, which means she’s very powerful and a strong woman, but she’s willing to cook for her lover and meet his mother like a “traditional woman” to make him happy. It can be understood as changing positions in the bedroom as well. I read this song could be because she’s very happy with her current boyfriend Dalton Gomez.

@@mandy32396 I think it could be bad because it can be seen as: even if you are a powerful woman and you can be the president of the US, you still have to fulfill your man’s needs by cooking and having sex like he wants you too. I understand she says that she’s happy, but she always says that she usually doesn’t do that and is doing only for him, but he shouldn’t be expecting her to change for him, only be herself.

I think the MV is because, from the character's perspective, there are no positions in love, like if you love, you love and nothing else matters. Like, no profession, no money, nothing matters, including if you are one of the most important people in the world, if you are in love, you will want to treat that person in a good way, you will put your defenses down. I think she is trying to get the message across, as if nothing in the world is a barrier if you love that person and that person loves you, there are no excuses, and you can make it work if that person is the right one and does nothing to hurt you. It's a very positive lyrics, considering that she has had some bad times in her previous relationships. In a way, I believe it, but I think it's a little utopian, but if you find the right one, maybe it can work like that. (Even if it is not about love, I do a lot for the people I treasure, but I think the best is to be selfish like others, sometimes it can be good to follow the flow of the world haha). And I think both can be right about the meaning, like positions can be interpreted in a sexual way too, she likes a double meaning, Side by Side is there to prove it kkkkk The song, I think is not one of her best releases. I don't know, but this year it seems that the artists are not serving their best work, it seems that everyone is in the comfort zone, trying not to risk so much. But Positions is contagious, I like it more after listening to it a few times and the string instrument is the big point for me. Guys, I wish the best for your channel, I know that working with art is not easy and changing direction is a risk, but when we think it's necessary, we have to do it. Take your time and improve, but don't be so hard on yourselves. I hope y'all have success and great inspirations. Your channel is already great and I know it will get better. This is a r&b/pop song...it's rumored that her new album is gonna be mostly r&b. I love the fact that the song title "positions" has multiple meanings. The video depicts Ariana in the boardroom handling business as President, cooking in the kitchen, and in the bedroom...showing that women can do it all. The song can also be interpreted as doing things differently in a relationship to make your partner happy or it could take on a more sexual meaning as well with your partner. Also we are currently 1 week away from election day here in America and there's a good chance we may be switching to a new President soon. That means our new Vice President will be a woman. That would make her the first female Vice President, the first black Vice President, and the first Vice President of Asian decent in American history if the US votes for a new President. I love that this song and video can be interpreted alot of different ways. I'm excited to hear Ariana's new album that comes out this friday. I know it's gonna be 🔥!

Her new album it will be a grown up album if you know what I mean lol The name is positions because it will be about women sexuality and her exploring that, what she likes to do in bed but there is also love and women empowerment. So yes the song does mean what it's means, the sexual way, but there is also other meaning that it's about profession that is shown in the video. In the first scene when she is with her team you can see there is white, black and asian women and an asian men, there is also a transgender and homosexual, with different shapes and different ages, that show representativeness. She did it to inspire people to vote for the government change, once conservative old white men won't fight for the minorities. So there is another meaning, when she says switching the positions for you she is talking about switching the job and political positions in the goverment for this people, so USA would be a better place. Then she is in the kitchen cooking and them she goes back to her presidencial job, she also means with that as a woman she can do anything, she can cook and go to the bedroom do whatever she wants with her boyfriend but she can also work and change the world.
