Thanks for your comment! I definitely agree with you that music transcends language barriers and can move us in profound ways. My point is that the lyrics aren't there just so we can call it a "song", because unfortunately with pop songs we tend to treat the lyrics as secondary to the music. The music carries the emotion, but the lyrics carry the message; not one is greater than the other. It is only with the perfect marriage of music and lyrics that a song can convey true meaning.
