Even in the case of concrete, it does weather and chip with age, so not entirely immune to replacement, still gotta pay for maintenance and repair or the occasional touch up.

木头房子和水泥房子的区别就是工人的数量，中国古代人工贵的时候，越穷的人房子用更多的木头，现在人工不值钱，所以基本都是水泥房子。欧洲以前人工便宜，又有很多奴隶，所以建筑都是石头水泥这些，现在欧美人工太贵了，所以除了大企业全部是木头房子。 水泥肯定好于木头，但是木头也有自己的优势，也可以享受自己建造的过程。

In America, If a house caught a fire, the house could be completely burned down in 20 minutes, not much time for the occupants to evacuate and save their belongings. In China with concrete frames, there is plenty of time to safely evacuate and save important belongings. A lot of time this could mean life and death differences. Next, tornados and hurricanes, piece of cake for concrete buildings, but what a disaster for houses made out of wood, and people could die of the disaster!!! To "change" a house, as long as you don't alter the frames, you can still make a lot of changes in a concrete building. For wood frame houses, typically you don't want to change the frames any way. One more thing, termites can do a lot of damages to wood houses, but not concrete buildings. Also, water damages to wooden houses are usually much worse than concrete buildings. I am for concrete buildings! (Save lives and easier to maintain.) Sorry, Kristin! (Think of this: the baby will be safer in a concrete building than in a house made out of wood... )
