That's good to know. I don't think it was available at the time of filming. I see they have it now in Germany. Still no diesel automatic in Poland though.

Pump the seat up, and you should be fine.

All the engines are going to be replace this year: 1,2l e-VTi ~85hp 1,2l e-THP 110hp/130hp 1,6l BlueHDi 75hp/95hp/120hp There will be new gearbox, I think that the 1,2l e-THP is going to have the new 6-speed auto, and maybe the BlueHDi 120 as well. The BlueHDi 95 should stick with the 6-speed elctronic and the 1,2l e-VTi with the 5-speed electronic (wich are already available on the current range).

I would say a B-crossover is not ideal for someone as tall, but then I know tall people seem to have great tolerance for tight cars :)

That engine off coasting is beautiful. Does it disengage the clutch? Or does the driver put the car in neutral to activate engine off coasting? Would be nice to have it higher speeds though. At least make it user selectable.

You have to put it in neutral and release the clutch. Press the clutch, and the engine turns back on. At higher speeds if you let the car coast in gear, you'll notice instant fuel consumption usually goes to zero. Hybrids sometimes switch the engine off during high-speed coasting.

You said it all except in name, this car is awful. I actually had the reverse situation you describe while driving this car recently for a couple of weeks on car hire. I drove right hand drive and instead of having to reach over to put it into 5th gear, I was constantly reaching over for city driving. Putting it into 1st, 2nd, 3rd gear. Then there are the uncomfortable seats, unstable ride at motorway speeds, the clutch pedal designed by Arnold Schwarzenegger (or maybe you need legs as powerful as Arnies in order to press the clutch) etc.etc. The only thing that I liked which actually impressed the hell out of me was the traction control. In fact I think I'd even say you were a little harsh in this respect towards the 2008 amazing off-roading abilities (amazing for 2WD that is). Overall in my humble opinion I'd recommend people go for the SX4 or Nissan Quashqai, Skoda Yeti or anything else but the 2008. Thanks
