I recently lost my mother who was 97 years old. Its a very sad time for me and your videos have always helped to cheer me up. She was so interested in my painting and always liked to see what I had done. Thank you for posting your techniques for us to practice and learn from. I learn so much from you and really appreciate how you encourage us to practice.

I didn't know that the density of the colours determin wether it's the "back run" or the "wet in wet" technique. Something new learned, thank you!
Mr Shibasaki you are my great teacher. In watercolor but in life as well. You teach us how to paint but also how to grow old. The path of life can be very colorful. Thank you.

Thank you very much, S P ! Shibasaki-sensei is happy that his videos reach everywhere in the world
I'm always amazed how at the end, when he paints the demo, it looks like something childish and cartoonish, but then just as he's almost finished he adds a few details and it's transformed into a lifelike object.

Your teaching ability is very good - thank you for all the techniques you have demonstrated. They are the usual techniques but you add in a special method or twist that makes them even better. I also appreciate the mini painting tutorial that you do after the end of the of the verbal instruction - seeing what you just taught done in a mini painting is very helpful.

Your tutorials are the best and most easily understood on youtube.
Ahh, now that's a good one. I like the note on density differences. I have seen an artist on Instagram that does figures using only a single dark color and the back run technique to lighten the midtone areas!
Wow this is so detailed and it really helps break down the process in a way that's easy to follow and doesn't feel so intimidating for a beginner. You're an awesome teacher! Thanks for the tutorials mate! This really makes me wanna try picking up painting again. I always thought I couldn't do it because it seems so difficult but I think with your videos I'd be able to get better.
