@@dielog2211 Why not? Preferring solitude or some alone time might not be for you, but for many it's like a self-treat or self-care since socializing all the time drains them. And they don't want to look at the 4 walls of their room all the time so they come sit at a cafe for a bit, maybe read a book or just enjoy the atmosphere. It's just another alternative to sitting at the park.

@@dielog2211 Personally, going alone really gives me time to myself without any other social obligations. Whenever I go with friends to eat somewhere there's always these short moments during eating where someone would start up a conversation, which can bug me when I'd rather savor the moment with the tasty food. It's a matter of personal preference!

I'm an introvert by circumstance, but when I'm with a group of people I vibe with, I'm the loudest person, the most excitable, and completely outgoing. I've been invited to random concerts by friends and we'd meet a random group of people, take pictures, hang out, shoot the shit between bands, etc. But on the average I'm more introverted, if I'm going somewhere it's either alone, or a family member who happens to be around. Nah, but I totally get it though. There's a lot of multiplayer games that it's crucial to have either a static or a group of friends that is constantly able to hop online otherwise it's rather difficult to progress. This gets worse with games that have full singleplayer, but the endgame or a lot of the content is tied to group content that can't even be finished without friends because randoms can make it such a pain. Back in the day it was a bit easier, had some people who were around, and it was good times. You get older, busier schedules, so when you're the one who got left behind, you find another passion. That's why I turned to JRPGs and a lot of niche singleplayer titles. I don't know, even as someone in their early 30s, this stuff is so relatable, and I feel like a lot of people become a bit more comfortable sharing tidbits about themselves. We were never alone.
