Phantomhive (Correct me if I'm wrong), But somebody angered Amaterasu, causing her to keep herself in the cave. Being the Sun Goddess (If you ever watched/played Okami, Either version (Remastered or original) you'd find that Amaterasu is the goddess of the sun.), the sun went away when she started hiding in the cave. When they finally got her from said cave, She realized that there was no reason to hide in the cave in the first place. "If people bully you, That means you're a great person."

Based on the mythology, Ammy (Amaterasu a.k.a Japanese god of the Sun) was angered by Susanoo(The God of storms) after he distroyed some of Ammy's field and one of her apprentices after losing to her in a competition, so she hid inside a cave in anger, the ama-no-iwato. The land was covered in darkness when she was hiding. Many gods and goddesses asked her to come out but all fails. The Goddess of merriment thought of a plan. She danced on top of a large drum while wearing leaves and flowers, and after awhile she sheds the leaves (oh god) and dances naked. The gods roared with laughter and Ammy finally came out of the cave in curiosity, dazzled by her own appearance in a bronze mirror. She was pulled out of the cave and started to erase the depression as she joined up with the party. The cave was sealed off after Ammy leaves. Do not question the mythologies they are ridiculous

It isn't that bad. Susanno was a dick, so Ammy ran off. Thing is, the world needed her sun, so they made a plan. Ame-no-Uzume, goddess of wild parties, did a strip tease to get everyone in party mode, then the other gods talked about how they found someone prettier than Amaterasu. She got pissed, came out of her cave and saw a mirror. Surprised by her reflection, Amaterasu stayed out long enough for the other gods to seal off the cave, and without a convenient sulk-hole, she aged to stay around as long as Susanno was punished. The rest less directly into the Orochi story.

I have never felt more good about myself after watching this video. When I was in school I had complimented on a girls shoes before class saying they were pretty. Later when school was over, that bitch and her 'friends' attempted to push me down a flight of stairs. Traumatized, I had spent the rest of my life locked in my room wondering what I did wrong, not understanding that she was the one who did wrong. So when I heard the verse "if there are people bullying you, that means you are a great person" I almost shed tears. So I agree and accept what happened and will probably learn to forgive in the near future.

Isn't this basically telling the story of how susano-wo angered Amaterasu and so she hid herself in a cave until the god of jewellers, god of smiths and the goddess of dance (also including the god of ancestors) manage to get her out of the cave so that the sun can shine again (this is what I read in a book so someone can correct me if I'm wrong about any of this)

You're correct. C: But it was Uzume-no-Mikoto that lead her out by dancing on a wooden bathtub and stripping herself of her clothing so the male deities would laugh and cheer for her. When Amaterasu heard this, she stepped out of the cave to see what was going on and saw a mirror Uzume had placed outside that showed her reflection. She thought the reflection was a new god because she had never seen herself before, and walked out to see the mirror closer. After she did, the deities closed the cave with a purification rope and Amaterasu agreed to return once they reasoned with her.
