i tend to get caught up on details whenever i sketch something, so seeing you not paying too many attention to details during sketch is just so inspiring to me. i really wish i could paint like you too someday!! thank you for your videos, Shibasaki-sensei!
It can be hard not to be overwhelmed by a medium like watercolors, but you truly know how to break it down so that it is both calming and exciting to learn about
The comment about how the colours do not need to be the true colours really helped me in a way understand something: I can approach what I see as an inspiration and then allow my own colours and work to shine through in the ways I want to! Thank you for this video!

It's great that you also point out that you chose this scene to paint because there's a great light and dark contrast. I saw a great sunrise today, and it made me think of your paintings! Thank you for sharing.

How do you gain that level of confidence to paint without so much line guidance and make it look better than what it was? Truly incredible, Mr. Shibasaki 👏

I had a very tiring day today but watching this video helped me relax and release some pent up tension. Thank you for sharing your gift! I find it also interesting how you can interpret colors. You truly have an artistic eye, mixing colors was really interesting to see (the roof wasn't just a black, but you've painted it with blues and violets, etc.).

Love the Q&A session and really love that landscape. Thank you for continuing to inspire us with your lessons and art!
Watching Shibasaki-san's watercolor videos is very calming, especially to a novice artist like me. Something about how he gradually builds up the composition and gently layers paint upon the canvas kinda reminded me of how my mother used to paint watercolor to clear her mind of any troubles, or to unwind and set her mind free of inhibitions. I also learned new techniques today that i havent seen before like using fingernails to help part the wet paint to detail the painting, and how some objects in the foreground (like the trees and shrubbery) don't need as much detail if they aren't the focal point! Usually ideas like that slip through my mind without giving second thought, but i'm glad nonetheless to learn them here!

This is one your best videos! It was delightful to see you outdoors, full of energy and smiles. It’s so nice to see some of your beautiful countryside, too! I’m not brave or experienced enough to paint outdoors yet, and there aren’t many pretty places nearby-but I like the way you advised making the colors different or better than real life, and also not worrying so much about details. I loved your advice segment and I agree with what you told Micah. I just hope your Instagram inbox doesn’t get flooded! Thank you for all you do 👏💕😸

its seems that pops use flat brush more often in his recent videos which is nice since i lost my round brush last week, at least i'll be able to paint until i get a new brush. im also amaze how pops was able to make a base within 10 minutes! just making the base would take me around 30 mins to an hour. thought i guess nothings too hard for pops. When that rice filling fell out from the onigiri... i felt that. well as always pops do stay well, healthy and hydrated. and have a happy new year pops. 😊❤🙌✌🎇
