This was such a great video explaining the experiences of the characters. I need season 2 of them going through marriage and having children. Dong Hua is ancient, he most likely has a whole load of enemies.

Well, Dong Hua was challenged like A LOT in his early years and had to fight MANY battles during his conquest and reign as ruler of Heaven and Earth. Judging from what I read, Miao Luo was pretty much the only real enemy 'still standing'. He dealt with the rest ☠⚰ (hinting at that during his duel with Yan Chiwu aka mercy was never really his thing). The demons kind of still don't like him much, but know better than to piss him off. It would be interesting to see how Gun Gun will deal with the fame of an almost omnipotent father?! Dong Hua does have a huge ego, but fame and others opinions about him never really mattered. Besides: If your mom is a nine-tailed red fox and your dad (originally) a rock, what does that make you then?🤔

Phoenix 8619 same thought 😂 is gungun can be a fox? Or a rock? Fengjiu named her with her family name but did Donghua change it? We really need season 2 to answer a lot of hang questions..

I understand he was not the type to grant pardon to his enemies as described in the series and the books but whats the deal in not killing her?

@@khaleesiaranya3079 Well, Dong Hua doesn't have a family name, so no reason to change the 'Bai' part. Maybe he calls him differently? Like calling his wife Xiao Bai instead of (Bai) Feng Jiu

I think it's successfully fleshed out already... although I'm feeling greedy for few extra episodes (maybe a sneak peek of their married life with Gungun and a few more fox cubs) 😁😁😁 I just desperately want to see more dramas with this wonderful pair of actors be it modern or costume drama

It's really ending huh...... So how long will the wait be for the next story ?? 😅😅 I know the author is still writing them but either of the next two books being turned into the sequel drama will make us fans extremely happy ( okay just me, I'm very sure I will be extremely happy if it does happen )

The Pillow Book is 2 parts novel. This is probably the most complete & close to the novel combined. And because the original author didn't approve of it being turned into a drama there's copyrights issue (this was almost didn't released because of it). The Eternal Love (the 1st book) is just 1 part.. and in the tv version w/ Yang Mi and Mark Chao, Feng Jiu and Dong Hua DiJun's story version was so far from the novel.. I don't think there's a next story..unless it's ChenYu & 3rd Heavenly Prince 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

@@486davinci Yes, I know about this. I've read the novels of both Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms and Pillow Book. I actually meant the following next two stories and yes, one of them is Lian Song and Chen Yu's story titled The Lotus Steps and the other one is Bodhi Fate, story of Mo Yuan and Shao Wan, the Demon Overlord. With the lead characters of these two books, wouldn't you be excited too? I actually want to read Bodhi Fate so much but the author is still working on them but then I can't even read Chinese 😭😭. A drama would be possible if they become famous but then seeing the success of the earlier two, it may happen but may take time ( years even 😅 *ouch* ) but I can wait. I will wait 😤.

@@riri79730 oops, I think you're not aware.. Bodhi Fate is just a draft and when it got leak in the net, the author deleted everything and has since said "will come up with something else" referring to Shao Wan, the author is not satisfied with her as many criticize Shao Wan as the choice for Mo Yuan..but it's been 4 yrs (I think) and not a word from the author so far 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

@@486davinci Ah, is that so? I didn't read the fanfics though ( wait, there is a fanfic? for real? ). It was from the extra stories of the author's books along with notes from the translator of it (extra stories) that I knew of the next books. The last note that I remembered was that author will work more on Bodhi Fate so Lotus Step may have to wait.

Yes.. season 2 please. A glimpse of the wedding. Gungun became man and had a sister. While Yan chiuw and jiheng got married and had a son. Yan 's Son and Donghua's Daughter met in Ah li's wedding event. And Their kids fell inlove but gungun as big brother is against it. (Thats kind of my own plot story 😜)

Though they showed happy and complete ending in drama but by the characters of Arnaya and Shan Ye we can see another series in which Dong Hoa and Fengjui can also be appeared. Whatever they do I just want another season with same actors.

I have waited for this drama for 3 years. I honestly don't see a point of season 2. I've read the books, tbh the books are better but this series gives you closure more than the book. There's a lot of connection with Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms. If you have watched that drama (Bai Qian and Ye Hua), the little side plot you see between Feng Jiu and Dijun in there is the actual mortal experience ft Qingti ofc. They took a whole lot of creative liberty with this drama. I'm probably rambling but it irks me that a lot of changes were made. They don't even show the homosexuality aspect in these dramas, that's a big let down. It would explain a lot of plot holes that don't make sense.

Exactly,, i think due to budget limit too. But they step up for the cgi n effects.. its a top notch,,, but for costume n setting it lacks details. It looks rather plain. N make up too its a mess for some scenes

angie Manalo I like more the ELOD but agree with their make up sometimes you see Vengo with a lot of powder in his face and for Dilraba you can see that in some scenes she doesn’t have make up and uses only lip tint...sometimes pale...especially when you watch it on HD you can recognize their makeups...

I also prefer the directing style in Peach Blossom compared to Eternal Love of Dream but nonetheless, the series still turned out beautiful, and yes the CGI is wonderful. I remember how much in awe I was during the fight scenes esp when Dong Hua was in Bihai Cangli and had his outburst. Also while the scenic views were shown. My fave was Feng Jiu in fox form the expressions are so adorable. ELOD is definitely not as melodramatic as TMOPB but just as endearing imo.

@@anyeong1246 in picture effects I prefer ELOD, it is more realistic and it's like a 4D especially in SHD... But In costumes I prefer TMOPB but they said that ELOD has lack of budget that's why...also in the book the immortals in fanyin valley supposedly have wings coz they're birds but they didn't follow it coz of lack of budget I was hoping that they followed the real cinematic in fanyin valley coz I wanna see Dilraba and Vengo with wings🥰..but they were both blockbuster for me😍

@@khaleesiaranya3079 Oooooh I missed that wing part from the book (I haven't read it thoroughly yet, I just jump from sections mainly just to check my favorite parts, must immerse myself on reading right after watching these BTS and related vid hahaha!) pretty interesting, I understand CGI can also cost a lot so maybe that's why. I agree about the costumes as well... I love TMOPB suits better although I easily got past the suit comparisons since both VG and Reba are already visual delights so even the simplest costumes looked so elegant in them.

But I really can't understand in the first series(ten miles of peach blossom) dong Hua Witten his name on the rock of incarnation(which means no luv or marriage) but in this series he actually married Fengju and also he had a son,, how is this possible I did not get the logic,,, can someone explain...

When they made the tmopb the author have copyright issues with the productions since the pillow book is another of her work so they change a bit in that story of dong hua and feng jiu. ELOD is based on the novel so everything u watched in TMOPB is not in here. Hope u understand it.

DH and FJ's story in TMPB is made up, it doesnt follow the book. ELoF is their real story, which is straight from The Pillow Book. There are minor differences thru out the drama vs. the book but it still follows the real love story of DH and FJ spanning 3 lifetimes.
