I'm shocked this movie did not get awards. It feels like a masterpiece. some people wrongly criticize the female lead but even though she's no great beauty but she's cute and charming and has a great smile. the love story between the three couples (main leads, second leads, and the third leads) are so beautiful and sad too. Chinese actors are always getting fat shame. Xu Kai even with a bit more fat his face is so lovely and expressive, more so than if the face has no fat and drawn in and lose some expressions. Xu Kai wore a mask as Boxuan character and all you can practically see is his mouth, yet he still can show so much beautiful expression from just his smile, and he can communicate with his physique the way he stands and move is expressive too.

Ms. Zhou Dongyu is a beautiful, petite, talented, and gifted actress and artist. “Ancient Love Poetry” is one of our favorite dramas. My family has enjoyed watching this drama numerous times. Ms. Zhou Dongyu’s portrayal in her roles were outstanding, excellent, and superb. The entire cast were excellent, superb, and brilliant in their performances. The director, cast, production, crew, and soundtrack were absolutely stellar. This drama is and will always be a true masterpiece classic.
