I feel peaceful watching this. Used to follow my late grandpa around digging for bamboo shoots in behind my grandparents house back in the village. In my country the bamboo shoots is most commonly cooked in coconut milk, with some chili added for a spicy kick. Wonderful to eat with hot rice. Will try your way too soon❤ Love to see this side of you. The drawing at the end is too cute!

Health is on the plate... Japanese cuisine where the art of knowing how to highlight the different products, with simplicity. A "surprise" drawing whose humor brings a note of good humor on this sunny Sunday. Thank you Mr Shibasaki.🎋🏡♥️👩🎨

When i was young my grandma often cooked this for us, that was nice.. It's been a while since i saw pops cook something, even though i just ate i now feel like eating again. Pops sure do eat a lot of fresh vegetables, no wonder you're so healthy. 😊 Though i know that you already are, but i hope you stay healthy and hydrated pops! 🤗👌👍💚🌸

I love this!! Man goes to forest, fells huge tree, trims off its bark - carries tree trunk home then chops it up and cooks it - to eat with many sauces. Perhaps that was NHK film crew there to record the event - and a cartoon from his local newspaper. (I wonder if he had to 'go back and do it again ... ! Memory of bamboo shoot in Tokyo restaurant now have quite different!
