I've always loved hydrangeas but I always get scared of painting them because I thought I needed to draw all the flowers. Thank you for the lesson Sensei!

I started to paint with oils and been avoiding watercolors for a long time. I've just started with this medium few days ago and I'm loving it. Your videos make watercolors more approachable. You sir are awsome ! Thank You :)

Thank you for the tips on how to paint a hydrangea simply with watercolour. Now l know l don't have to spend hours (using acrylic or gouache) to create an effective or realistic depiction of a flower. That was brilliant Mr. Shibasaki!

Your brush strokes and your color mixing are so precise. I hesitate so much with these two aspects! That lifting technique with the painting knife is so interesting, hadn't seen it before.

It's after watching this video that I decided to buy a palette knife (an inexpensive one). I had no idea, before, that you could use one for watercolors so it was quite a surprise! It's taking a while to get used to but I love how versatile it is as a tool. Thank you for the video!

An excellent painting of a flower. Very good demonstration, I learned quite a lot from that also. Like the idea of multiple layers and scraping thru that to get the details of the veins. Thanks for uploading it, Shibasaki san, you are a watercolour master painter.

Dear Teacher Shibasaki, I really like your videos as you are so clear and precise in your explanation. Your videos are wonderfully made. Every aspect has been well taken care of, both visually and audibly. I am so encouraged that I tried painting the tow trees from another video and this flower. My flower turned out quite awful as I had difficulty using the knife. The paint dried too quickly and my strokes were wrong especially for the leaves 😭😭😭 I am so embarrassed with my painting! Anyway, I will try harder next time and faster, before the paint dries. Maybe it’s because I’m in a hot climate...
