💬Plot summary:

That is what you call a good writing. If this was release in a weekly format and in maybe like 20 min episode, people probably complain how boring his family scenes are and they probably want to get back to the action. But slow moments like that build up impact and make us care. "His son" was essential to the story. His son was the only one that care and treat the 8th rank killer a human being.

There are couple of things the show did really well. Highlighting the side characters efficiently. They had around the right amount of scene of Teng's family for us to care without going overbearing. Also there is a sense of time, we know clearly how many days he been at the capitol. We see the chicken leg got worst and worst. And of course, in later episode the construction of his humidifier. Even the house and the city, there is a sense of location. Like a real lived in city with real people and not just a television set.

Didn’t give this drama attention at first, in fact, left it after first episode. Started reading that it was worth watching so went back to continueon watching it. And boy, oh boy, so glad i did. Every episode just keep getting better and better. I cried when TJ died and when FX cried for him. The scene is so heartbreaking, you actually feel the actors’ anguish feeling. Kudos for the actors and the director of this drama. They are highly effective in bringing joy to their viewers.

You can not tell me in one dialogue that the judge is independant of the bureaus and has the same power, and 40 seconds later tell me that one of the bureaus discards the power of the judge. That's not how "independant" works. And why there is a plot with these Chen Jusu cause theu know its a general and friend of whoever, but they don't know that the assasination was against a Judge of the coundil who is also favoured by the "king"? Is this Kingdom so weak that the other side does not care about who is pulling the strings behind Fanxian? OR is this side more smart and they know who is behind chenjusu, and the other side doesnt know about Fanxian backer? If they knew and this kingdome was strong, they woudln't dare to attack him. ITs clear that the side where Fanxian is, is the receiveing end, but the rules applied to his side don't apply to the other side. Maybe this kingdom is weak. Convenient Plotholes 101

11;33 that's when we lost our Fan Xian[Naïve] the monster Fan Xian emerged 24:24 I felt that pain so much 31:40 till 33:30 gave me chills, tears like seriously this is my 4th time coming back to this series but why do I still cry just a guard he was a father, a husband and the pillar of his household.
