i think i somewhat understand how Nagao feel, altho EN can talk in Japanese, the vibe will be always different compare to when they talk in English, which also mean even though they can make a Japanese collab stream, Nagao wouldn't have the same experience which he love about NijiEN, so i think that's why he wanna learn English to experience it fully

I hope Nagao gets to collab with more overseas livers! He seems to enjoy his time when collabing with others and even through with the language barrier, they all end up having fun and was full of laughter. Really is a great balance and chaos lol. I'm happy to hear that he wants to learn so that he can interact with more overseas livers. I'm sure many would love the same to collab with him too.

some of Niji EN are also doing a lot to study Japanese, and it seems most of them understand it, but needs to improve in forming sentences. On the other hand, it's awesome to see Nijisanji branches collabing more now, especially EN who're trying their best to reach out to their senpais. How awesome would it be if we see more JP, KR ID and EN doing bigger collabs more often in the next half of this year. Niji JP are great senpais since a lot of them are very welcoming. Hopefully, EN members do get more chances in getting together ioth them, now that Nagao and other JP members openly shared that they are also studying English.

He is absolutely right about wanting to learn english by using it. That is the best way to learn a language. Theory of course comes first, but it is only a building block. To actually learn and be able to speak a language, you must use it.

I think the 4 guy combo from Mika's NekoPara stream (Mysta, Ike, Sonny, and Alban) is good for Nagao to collab with. Just enough loudness, mischief, and _nihonggo jouzu_ to start with. But if he wants to _really_ learn in a more academic/educational way then maybe Elira, Petra, Ike, and Shu. I'd add Oliver but he might teach Nagao to -bully- tease Petra lol

Thank you so much for the subs! Recently Nagao's been very busy with lots of collabs and opening more to the international side and I've been really happy watching my oshis from both sides interact! He's also working hard to memorize english every day as posted on his twitter, and honestly considering how smart he is (bomb defusing, morse), I fully believe he's capable of getting fluent really fast, especially if he keeps at it! he was in oliver's jump king stream today as well, where fulgur, yugo, ike, and suha also dropped in, so there was a lot of english flying around especially in the beginning with fulgur! i'm looking forward to more international collabs with him, and mega props to his determination to learn so he could communicate better! he really is amazing

I don't watch the JP livers from either corp. Too often cause I can't understand 85% of what they're saying, but I love watching clips like this where they talk about what their plans are, especially when it's about learning English to talk to the EN branches! Learning a new language is hard as hell, ESPECIALLY En to Jp and vice versa, so it's really commendable!

It’s not! It’s actually just his misunderstanding and the phrase “Kaida will bring his girlfriend to the aquarium” would be correct. The Japanese word he used to describe his own misunderstanding is mostly used for objects though, which is why I translated it this way.

Yeah , english is easy because unlike japanese words don't change meaning if you mispronounce one letter. Also you can speak by simple words , words like "the" are to add coeciveness. You can probably understand my english and i only took standard classes in junior , mostly learnt from games.
