In this specific version I came to strongly dislike the ML. Not only did he ignore his wife for the 2 years they were married he was too busy accompanying the 2FL for those 2 years. He also continuously allowed the 2FL to verbally abuse the FL. Then when 2FL committed the crime of kidnapping, attempted SA and whatever else were to happen that day to the FL, he defends 2FL by sending her away so she does not end up in jail. On top of all that not only did he stalk the FL, disrespect her non-consent, he also went out of his way to make her feel as if she is in the wrong for not liking him / accepting him. I personally wish this one ended with FL choosing her childhood friend.

And I don't think he was prejudiced against her education or being a country girl. He just seemed to hated having his arm twisted to marry someone he didn't love (based on what he said to his grandpa and also he said to her that he thinks his ex- wife is a good person but not well matched to him). Nevertheless, it doesn't change the fact that he neglected her for 2 whole years without ever meeting her and judged that she is after his money and the assault I'm the apartment is the worst of all. Although he is a gentleman compared to some other MLs I have seen in other dramas.

Surgeons don't leave or go into the surgery area with their surgery gown that contaminants the entire area. On the stairwell, professional health care personnel don't act like she was scripted to act. Family members can not dictate to extremely intelligent doctors what to do. This aggression towards physicians or any personnel in the hospital is not tolerated, security would be called immediately. The plot is good, but more research needs to be done to present accurate portrayal of professional business personnel how they conduct themselves & medical personnel. This is college level of directing & script writing. The actors & actresses are doing a great job, they need a better script & directing.

@@koharuakira8672 I'm not sure about in the US if this is applicable, but in Asia (and many other countries) if you have a lot of money and a very good solicitor you can sign the marriage or divorce papers without having to actually go to the Marriage Office, they will be your "proxy" and act on your behalf. I have a good friend in Hong Kong and after 10 yrs of marriage her hubby was caught cheating on her (among other things I might add) so she said enough was enough. She gave me a good laugh when she told me that after he left for work in the AM she immediately packed up all her things, then put a a note on his pillow along with a packet of photos that had him doing ... err well "things" ... with several women, as well as pics of him at various gambling places, all which had been taken by someone she had hired to watch him when she began to suspect what was going on. She comes from a fairly rich family (not super wealthy like in the shows, but they're definitely well-off) and her hubby had taken advantage of the fact they had a joint account to secretly transfer out funds to fuel his lust and other habits. He never took a lot of money at once which is why she hadn't suspected anything ... until a day came he got stupid and took a lot more than he usually did and worse she found a receipt for a woman's ring when her hubby hadn't given her a ring in years. Anyway, once she had all the evidence she needed of his dirty deeds she called her brother who is a solicitor to deal with everything. On the day of the divorce she treated herself and her mum to a morning at a nice spa, then they had a good lunch, then in the evening she and her family went to dinner to celebrate her newly single status ... and during that entire day she never had to see the man she hated with a passion so when her brother handed her the divorce booklet it was icing on the cake far as she was concerned (and she told me that she never would see him again as he moved to another city way up in the North and never came back to HK far as we know). IDK if it was because he couldn't contest the divorce (not with all the proof she had) which is why everything went so smoothly, plus they had no kids which had always blamed her for ... and it was his "excuse" as to why he began cheating on her. The irony of it all was that it became obvious that he was actually the sterile one as seven months after her divorce she met someone at a banquet she was attending with her brother and her and the guy got married six months later. Ten months after they got married she gave birth to a son, then 2 yrs later she had a daughter ... and 3 yrs after that she had twins - a boy and girl (this was in the 1 child policy days but her and her hubby could well afford the extra child fees as he also was from a rich family). After that she sadly got ovarian cancer so that ended any more kids, but to this day they're still married and very happy to be celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary this year. For some people it seems you have to endure the bad to find the good, but speaking from experience (and as a person who is also on a 2nd marriage) it makes the good even that much sweeter! :)

I’m with you 100%! The guy with glasses is “James”, her “adoptive brother”. Adoptive as in there’s no bloodline kinship but in 1-child households, adults who are friends, consider their offspring as siblings so children always have a lifelong bond and friend. Jerry was INDEED respectful! Bassem is a maniac & and uses $$ as his power. Good story but disappointing ending for me!

lol! 10 minutes from the end of the drama and finally has an ounce of insight! 😂😂😂 and he STILL helps the evil mistress escape punishment after she paid men to kidnap and sexually assault (and likely kill) the female lead. He would be the very worst partner for the FL! He barely knows her as a person, has never really respected her as a person. He only started to like her because she rejected him when he arrogantly assumed that all women should fall for him. And of course there is the ongoing Rampant prejudice and classism where he considers her an embarrassment and something Beneath his feet because she’s “from the countryside” but now that she is a well off, intelligent , talented neurosurgeon-she’s a prize to be won. Wow they finally got this movie released, gosh i look forward to watching this. I remember when my brothers asked why get married? No husband to marry it was his assistant that was classed as a Fill-in or a Stand-in, married for over two years and never once saw the hubby only his pictures on the wall and in photo frames, at his mansion the whole time with only butlers and maids, and his assistant, then i returned back to work. Lol, the doctor he was looking for was the same person he was married to. My brothers and sisters believed i was going through a faze, go for a holiday you need a rest, but no their sister decided to go for a holiday and get married to the perfect man, no sex, no contact and no problem. The after divorce my brothers were happy i was returning to work single, and not to do it again, getting married. The challenge was given to the ex-husband only as he asked for the second chance and she only looked at him while giving it . Jerry loves competition more than anything and made that evidently clear with the conversation the two men had beside the car, she only saw the third guy as a brother. Not that hard to figure out

Newsflash: she doesn’t have to accept ANY of them! I hope she doesn’t accept her useless ex who literally just helped the evil mistress escape justice after she paid to have the female lead kidnapped sexually assaulted, and likely killed. He hasn’t respected her during the drama (before he knew who she was or after-remember him breaking I to her apartment and then sexually assaulting her!). Not once has this male lead asked her what she wants. He is only concerned with owning her because she is a prize and because she rejected him and that upset his male pride. He would be a horrible partner.

Originally I put this in reply to a comment, but as several people seem to say the same thing I'll post it as a regular post (and forgive me as this got longer than I intended but I wanted to get the point across best I could) ... China has nearly 5 million licenced drs, compared to the US which has about 1.2 million, that averages to roughly 1 or 2 doctors for every 1100 patients in China compared to about 4 per 1100 in the US, and hospital bed average about 1 or 2 beds for every 1100 people compared to the US with roughly 3 to 4 beds per 1100 patients. Overall it really isn't a good average since it's a lump number ... in other words there's no distinction between a regular doctor vs a specialist in China (or Asia in general). Also, far as I remember there are no PAs (AKA "Physician Assistants"), PAs don't exist outside of the US. For those that don't know what a PA is - if you've ever been to a doctor and seen someone that the staff might call "Miss So and So" vs "Dr So and So," or they have a tag and the letters PA is after their name then you've just seen someone who isn't actually a "doctor," they are just helpers who have basic knowledge of medicine and can write scripts for some basic types of meds, but they haven't done the full 6 yrs of med school that a regular dr has. I have friends/family living in many countries around the world (plus I've lived in several countries personally) and I've never seen them outside of the US at any rate, and from people who have PAs as relatives they've told me that they are there for 1 main reason - to see as many patients as possible a day so the drs they work for can make a fat paycheck. It's a huge business in the US and it's sadly perfectly legal to do; hospitals are the worst of them all when it comes to using PAs and bilking insurance co's out of money. Now compare that with China's doctors who are the most underpaid and overworked medical personnel in the world; they don't have PAs to help them, they don't get paid even a quarter of even a PA's salary, and unlike the US (or most of the world for that matter), they don't do a "we'll treat you now and send you a bill later" system, and they have no insurance co's to overcharge extra fees from ... they only get paid when people pay their hospital discharge bills, and outside drs you pay upfront or you don't get seen. Plus if you think they get paid well then think again - in the US a doctor earns on average 100K or more a year as a regular dr (specialists earn nearly double that), whilst in China the top doctors/specialists earn roughly 20-30K monthly as most of them are part of hospital groups and not in individual practices (these #'s are in USD not Yuan by the by as I figure it will make it easier for people to understand the huge gap of pay). China, like most all Asian countries and even many Western ones, hasn't any type of healthcare insurance system, so treatments/drs/hospitals cost a pretty penny which is why most poor/middle class people will rarely go to doctors/hospitals unless absolutely needed. Cancer is the #1 disease of Asian people due to the excessive stress they are under which means that outside of the wealthy class very few other can afford the treatments offered. Again, compare that to the US where even the poorest person - even illegals - can get Cancer treatments for low cost or even free. Bottom line - you say there's no respect for doctors - it's not that there's no respect, it's just that doctors are at the bottom of the barrel as they have to directly deal with their patients on a continuous basis so they end up baring the brunt of everything - angry/grieving/worried relatives, hospital administrators who care little about them and only give them loads of pressure, and everything else in-between. Few patients/etc will ever say even a simple "thank you for your hard work," to them, they work long hours at a thankless and demanding job - but for those that do the job they do it the best they can. So next time your ill and need a dr ... and this applies really to ALL medical people, not just in China ... maybe give them a quick "TY for helping me today" or something like that. Let them know their hard work is appreciated! :)

@@Halalbeautie If he was so against marriage then he should have refuse outright and not sign the paper. Once married even if you want to reject be a person, talk face to face and make it clear. Otherwise it's just being an jerk and a cowardly. It's too insulting to wait three years just to reject someone without even once meeting them. In the meanwhile her career and romantic life everything was on hold for no reason other than taking care of grandpa, while he was hanging out with a dubious sister.

Just curious if anyone got a different ending than what i just saw. Reading the comments makes me think that is a possibility. It ends with the FL sending her friend off with only 2 hrs left for the ML to find her. It literally stops with FL turning around and it gives blures of all 3 men. That was it. It leaves it with no choice being made. Cliffhanger basically.
