These segments of music or whatever that can't be played are getting annoying and we are only 3 episodes in. If feels super lazy and cheap to just play music that doesn't even fit the scene when it's all layered in not done all at the same time. So they should be able to just pull out the music and let them talk through the scene. ☹🙄

I'm curious why so many times in Chinese dramas, they make the young women sound like they are on helium? I know lots of Chinese women and not one of them sound like that. Are they trying to make them sound young and feminine? I've always been confused (sometimes a little annoyed when they sound whiny using their high voices) by this. By the way, great series! So excited to see it the whole way through. :)

Almost halfway through this drama and the main leads are good to watch. So far the grand empress dowager has been able to hold the emperor and all other suitors of the Princess in check but one guy is relentles in his devious behaviour. He is also very monotonous to watch as his acting runs the gamut from A to B and mostly all he does in frown constantly. I could name him but that would be telling and I'm sure you can figure it our yourselves. Finally this a-hole got some retribution. Trying to survive is tough for the hero/husband and by this time it's become difficult to count all the puncture wounds on his bod.

True, this pair, Joseph and JJY does not have that great chemistry like other comments described. Joseph is not as handsome as the second male lead of this drama and ZZH. ZZH and JJY looks best together because they have traits of a husband and wife. But unfortunately, ZZH still got boycotted, which is a big obstacle for him and JJY. It’s likes separating them though.
