This is unbelievable. I was really excited to see a dorama in a similar style where 1920-30's China. You know, the whole gothic, vampire, detective, dark China thing is like a fresh breath of air amongst the other already stale doramas. The actors are unparalleled, the atmosphere is great, the plot is good too. I want to thank the people who made this dorama, because it is wonderful. I wish more people would make something like this!

Personally, im not a fan of huge age gaps and in this drama he looks like he is in 40s while FL in early 20s. He easily looks like her dad. But I would never publicly criticize or defame any actor for my opinion. On the other side, I truly understand and respect your sentiment, but the same people who are defending his age are first ones to criticize if a female lead is even a bit older in age. Now this is extremely hypocritical.

This is an excellent, fast paced, short drama series with not a boring moment! The whole cast did a fantastic job portraying their character. I think a special mention goes to Ouyang Nana because she really brought out the character of Mi Lan and her development as the drama unfolds.

Yes!!! Finally!! Been waiting for this for so long. So glad I can see it now on youtube. It's difficult to see Chinese drama in The Netherlands where I live so I'm really happy 😄 I'm a big fan of Vengo Gao ever since I saw Eternal love of dream. He is an amazing actor and now I can enjoy him playing a vampire. Perfect!

This is an intriguing drama. I don't usually like Republican period dramas because of all the politics. But this drama is a breath of fresh air in this dry spell of Chinese drama. A good story well told and with very good acting by all of the principal cast. Not a lot of action scenes and and what romance there is, is very restrained. The characters are well developed, including the main villain.

I'm a writer so I can't help but notice that FL is having not only super hearing but also super smell. I think when she fell (😅and she fell on ML so cutely 😅 ) she smelled the dude's gunpowder and when she met mr Yi she felt traces of gunpowder from when he and his subordinate talked 😂...so she gathered she shouldn't arouse suspicion 😅 if she didn't wanna go home 😅😅😅 The FL is very smart 😅 ! She has vampire nose! Also probably is an embodiment of one of the stones... because you get indeed higher quality of other senses when you lose one but nooot like that! ❤❤❤ she's totes adorbs ❤❤❤!

I remember actor Wang Guan @ 19:05 who starred in the costume drama Goodbye, My Princess as General Pia Zhao, main male lead's ( Li Cheng Yin's) subordinate. His character was both serious and funny. He would not drink alcohol and when he finally did it was so funny to watch. You would have to re-watch/watch the series to understand his character, which was mostly in the 2nd half of the series. But I will always remember him.
