It's actually understandable for that source material part. Most light novels have some gaps in the story that are left for the readers to interpret, and as a reading material, that creates the charm that pulls people into the story more and more. So developing a bias isn't far fetched, and being a pro VA, the people in the production expects for you to act relative to the script and productions goal for the story. I really appreciate Sugibro being honest about him staying away from the source material. Thanks for the upload, Kaiki-kun~!

We also got some seiyuus where they studied hard with the material to deliver the best and most accurate performance possible. Then we have Sugita where he intentionally skips the source mats to deliver the most genuine, with perfect momentum performance, despite being a total nerd, where his knowledge of his shows rivals even the dedicated fans of the show(s). He's one of a kind.
