Hi, welcome to Speak Japanese Naturally!
I'm Fumi.
I'm walking around Yoyogi Park in Shibuya in Tokyo on November 26th.
The autumn leaves are still beautiful.
They say you can get the widest view of the sky in Tokyo in Yoyogi Park.
And the phrase "the widest view of the sky in Tokyo" reminded me of a poem,
An innocent story of the sky written by Kotaro Takamura(1883-1956)
Here's the whole poem
Innocent story
Chieko says there’s no sky in Tokyo
She says she wants to see the real sky
Which made me look up at the sky in surprise
What I can see between young sakura leaves is
The beautiful sky that I have been familiar with for a long time
The foggy horizon is unclear with
Pale pink moist morning
Chieko looks far away and says
Above the Atatara mountain
The blue sky you see every day is
Her real sky, she says
It is an innocent story of the sky
Kotaro Takamura, 1928
----
These parts are written in an old Japanese style
I hope you'll enjoy this video.
Thank you for visiting.

These are my favorite videos of yours. I've missed our lessons, but plan on working my schedule out in the new year to start again. Also: I already knew of Yoyogi Park as it is in one of my favorite video games Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne!

Thank you for the Super Thanks! It's really super ...😳 I wonder if the Yoyogi Park in Shin Megami Tensei III and the real one look the same 😄 I'm really looking forward to seeing you again in the new year!

I feel like this is the content we prefer to learn with. just talk & chill about real things. it's overloaded with long talks about how to use grammar & blabla otherwise, but having just this is way better once you are a bit beyond "N5" context + subtitles = brilliant

Thank you for including the poem! I think reading poetry in the original is the ultimate reward of learning a new language so I was very happy to hear a native speaker reading and explaining a Japanese poem to me. A magical point in this video for me. I'll study harder.

This was exactly what I was looking for! A nice stroll with focus on the language and everyday things. You speak with such a lovely, calm and articulate voice. And the talking speed was good and varied, so I get to practice listening even at the harder faster bits. Also loved that you put in some kanji facts! I already kind of knew the kanji for bird but it's been giving me a hard time. I wasn't aware of why it looked like that and now I'll never forget it, nor the kanji for crow (which was completely new to me). I'm looking forward to immerse myself more with your videos!

I am 50 years old in America. I just started learning Japanese 2 months ago. I am a big fan of Japanese music. Also Anime. Watching Japanese entertainment isn't probably the best way to learn but it's the most fun. What kind of stuff do you like? Maybe I can recommend some English entertainment? If you have fun and learn at the same time then I think that is twice as good. I also like English music and entertainment. I have just seen it all.

@@gakuseino-toritetuniiki I know one song from honeyworks. I can't read the Kanji in the title. Came out 9 months ago 91 million views. Great song. Very cute. Girls keeps saying Chu (kiss) and I'm sorry for being so cute. I can't say 'watch this movie'. I don't know what you will like. But I recommend the IMDB top 250 movies of all time. They are rated by movie fans. Can't make a mistake. All are good. My favorite Japanese music groups are Babymetal, Atarashii Gakko, Band-Maid, Yoasobi, Hanabie, Maximum the Hormone. I love Vocaloid. Hachi, Deco27, Kikuo, Wowaka etc etc. I have a 13 hour Vocaloid playlist on my phone. I have tickets to see Babymetal in Seattle Oct 4th. I saw Band-Maid in Seattle last October. I have videos posted.

Hey 👋 I'm from Yogyakarta, Indonesia, I made a plan for this year to go there for work. This channel helped me so much and make me sure, that one day I can go there and be able to communicate with more confidence. Thank you so much 😊& God bless you. Greetings from Indonesia 🇮🇩

Memories again. Yoyogi Park. I did not often go there even though I worked in Shibuya for some time but I did go once and saw a little bit of the rockabillies there. So interesting. But the sound of the cawing crow in Japan is what I remember so much while in Japan. Actually, my favorite sound! These birds are so intelligent. Anyway, thank you for the kanji derivation distinguishing bird vs crow. I will remember that. Lastly, and speaking of parks, my favorite park was between Tamagawa and Denenchofu stations when I lived in that area. I first lived in Ogikubo, though, so some of your listeners might be interested in the ramen shops there! Many foreigners love ramen as I am sure you know so that might be interesting for a video.

I can’t reply to all your comments, but I enjoy reading all of them! So I’ll be happy if you don’t stop commenting 😊 And thank you for your suggestion too! Unfortunately I don’t really eat ramen. I know men love ramen, but😅
