Thank you so much for this idea. I will adjust a few things for my cats' necessities. My cat needs an e-collar to stop scratching her face and neck due to periodic skin allergies, but the plastic collars are too heavy and cause her too much stress/panic/anxiety. I will make the white cord section of fabric more narrow... so that I can make the printed section wider. They should still be balanced enough not to be too awkward. I will use a light fabric stabilizer to provide a little stiffness to the wider printed fabric. I think I'm also going to try attaching a second (printed) short (narrow) collar to the same white corded section that faces to the back of the body... to keep Lilu from scratching her neck with her back feet. (that part might not work.) I think this is the best overall option I've found so far. I'm truly grateful! 😻💕

Hello Jennifer!! I wish your cat get well soon!! 🥰 I guess it depends of the sizing (diameter) of the donut collar. I made mine with the sizing of the big plate with was perfect for Martin. But generally no they cannot touch their eyes. This is what this is made for. Martin also during his journey had a lot of medicine on his face area which he should not touch. And this was success. I dont know if your donut is smaller than a big plate. If your cat cooperates you should try, keep an eye on what is going on and take your next decision ! Takek care!
