This is the second this type of segment I have seen him in. And I can't help but think the girls don't see him as a person and so they come off kind of rude. Or is it chinese culture I don't understand? But omg. I would be so different. I would ask about his hobbies, why he chose his food, and focus also on eating and let things happen naturally if they do. Like you said, Eleanor Lee could've been very nervous too. Maybe she found the silence awkward. It's bound to be uncomfortable when you go on a first date in front of a live audience, commentator panel, and you know it's gonna be broadcast on TV. Everyone has different ways they interact on dates, so she could've just been trying to know him better. Even if the questions didn't really make the conversation flow, she was trying to learn more about him. Also, I think it's important to remember that these shows are edited so it's possible they didn't show their entire date. This can just be a fun learning experience for both of them, so imho no need to get annoyed at the girl :)

First time watching this I got influenced into thinking that he doesn't like girls. Then I searched up the whole thing, watched it and found subtle signs that he got interested. When she said she like man who got humour, what he said next was meant to tease her and he actually liked to tease, you can even see him satisfied with her reaction. Lol... I wouldn't say that he is fond of her much but he definitely got interested especially when she said she could write songs(something he admit he can't do immediately). At first she was too chatty and noisy so he probably got put off but at the later half she actually managed to have proper conversation with him. People also tried to say that he can't wait to leave because of how the date end in which he explained as soon as he could that he actually said that because the producers saying it's "done".

Yibo does have a sense of humor. Like am I the only one he finds him funny and charming based on his personality? I feel like people have a misconception of his personality. The man is real. He is not fake or wants to befriend everybody, he is true to himself and that’s very important. I feel like He doesn’t treat girls with any preference or is bias because people can mislead his intentions like they do with other people and like I said he just doesn’t want to befriend everybody, it takes effort and trust to befriend people and that takes time. Plus he is focused on his career and I can see he wants to keep on growing artistically.
