　唐武德九年，内廷生变，原太子之女李长歌侥幸逃出。逃亡途中，长歌偶遇化名为秦准的草原部落特勤阿诗勒隼，两人不打不相识，渐生英雄相惜之感。长歌在幽州粉碎一场阴谋，与此同时身份败露，前往㮶州避祸。她藏于㮶州刺史公孙恒身边，助其共抗草原势力侵袭，却未想到敌方将领隼竟是旧识秦准。长歌震惊痛心。然而㮶州情况危急，为争取时间等待援兵，李长歌与隼谈判，为大局甘愿沦为战俘被押往草原，意外得知大可汗另有野心。长歌决定暂放私仇，以身涉险拼死破局，隼为救长歌不惜与大可汗为敌，两人却阴差阳错天各一方。长歌辗转流亡，历经风雨的她逐渐领会仁者无敌的道理，最终彻底放下个人恩怨。在发现前隋势力才是挑动事端的幕后黑手后，长歌与隼联手为守护大唐与草原的和平贡献了自己的力量，两人也终于认清了对彼此的情感，携手共赴危局。
►Synopsis ：
In the 9th year of Wude Period of Tang Dynasty, Li Changge, the daughter of the former crown prince, accidentally escaped from the military coup in the palace. During her escape, Changge encountered the secret service agent of a grassland tribe, Ashina Sun, who was under the pseudonym of Qin Zhun. They got to know each other through a fight and their affection grew stronger. Changge smashed a conspiracy in Youzhou. However, at the same time, her identity was revealed, and she went to Shuozhou to escape capture. She hid herself beside Gongsun Heng, the governor of Shuozhou, to help him resist the invasion of the grassland forces, but she did not expect that the enemy general was Qin Zhun. Changge was shocked and distressed to discover Qin’s real identity. However, the situation in Yuzhou is in great danger. In order to gain time for reinforcements, Li Changge negotiated with Sun. For the sake of the overall situation, she was willing to be a prisoner and taken to the grassland. Then she accidentally learned that the Great Khan had an ulterior motive. Changge decided to temporarily put aside her personal vengeance, and risk her life to save the situation. In order to save Changge, Sun disobeyed the order of the Great Khan, but they were far apart from each other after that. After going through the arduous exile, Changge gradually understood the principle of the invincibility of the benevolent, and finally put aside her personal grievances. After discovering that the former forces of Sui Dynasty were the manipulators behind the scenes, Changge and Sun teamed up to protect the peace of Tang Dynasty and the grassland. They finally came to realize their deep affections towards each other and went to confront the crisis ahead.

Everything about this is pure GOLD. PERIOD. The cast, the shots, soundtrack, stunt choreography, cinematography, location setting, aerial/drone shots, effects, etc. All were really good choices. The way they were building up the story and setting up the characters are excellent. The sound choices they made for some scenes were gripping and impactful to me as an audience and that made the experience more special. I think this may be THE best first episode among all of the dramas I've ever seen by far. This tops E-V-E-R-Y-THING. 🔥🔥🔥

Indeed one of the best Chinese series movie that I have watched. Dilireba and Wu lei are talented and have greater potentials. However, the director, screenwritter, muscians, and the entire crew were indeed one of the best. I watched other movies of Dilireba amd Wu Lei, and they werent as good as this. Thank you Long Ballad film crew, indeed it was better than any hollywood movie that I have watched recently.

I like the dynamic between Li Shimin and Li Changge. During the game, the uncle seemed to have confidence on his niece (his smile... he knew it was her and she would bring the team win). Also the interaction when they met after the game. On the other hand, Changge seemed to respect her uncle so much. This is interesting as the two brothers did not get along well and her father was deliberately trying to make his brother's life difficult. Btw, like the opening scene right after the manhua, when Dilraba is riding the horse. The visual in this series is great especially the interior. Not sure how authentic it is for the Tang's era (it looks too modern for me) but nevertheless it is nice viewing. The Eastern Palace complex is huge.

That was the most exciting football game ever, the camera almost couldn't keep up with it. The foot skill and the team work were amazing... I wonder how long did it take to shoot those scenes... wow. Diliraba was amazing there...
