I love that the seiyuu are otaku for the show, the footage of them going to visit Drive in Tori they mentioned they were becoming otaku then too. anyway, I interpreted the Itou and Kiichi performing the Saga Jihen choreography scene as Yuugiri dreaming of the friends who were not too long ago, in her life but are all long dead.

I think that we all figured that Yugiri was beheaded, but I was thinking (prior to the scene) that it was possibly punishment for running away with a client without paying off a debt. I was choking up once the soldiers had her kneeling and were prepping the sword. (ಥ﹏ಥ) 😭

Ito was badass as fuck, he died with honor, fighting for his convictions, and his only regret was not getting to enjoy a happy life along his best friend Kiichi... His is just a very bittersweet story and that's why so many people loved him!
