Such a great and informative video! I used to work at a jewelry store and here are some of my tips as well (if anyone wants it): (1) Try on different types of rings before you make a commitment! Round, oval, princess, halo, no halo, how the ring sits, etc. (2) You can have the same carat weight but the "table" is different (i.e., carat weight of 1 but table is bigger = looks bigger) (3) Shop local! You can save over thousands of dollars by purchasing from a small local shop versus something like Tiffany's (4) Diamonds that are certified (ID on the diamond) can be a better option than non-certified in the long-run (5) If you're wanting white gold, all white gold rings have to be rhodium plated every so often to maintain the "white" color (6) Color, cut, and clarity makes a huge difference when going out (i.e., going out to eat where the light shines on your ring XD) Also, there's plenty of guys who bring their girlfriend's ring for us to get a size for the engagement ring so don't feel bad! You'll get the ring right back so you can safely put the ring in its place before she notices lol.

So beautiful. Definitely need to be realistic - especially for financial reasons! I didn’t get a ring right away - we eloped when we visited his home/family in Hawai’i. So we got bands, that we don’t wear anymore. I got a non traditional ring too and a Hawaiian engraved band. 🥰😍
