Best idea guys for a low key, stressless wedding. Today so much money is wasted on weddings. You have your mortgage, your beautiful twins to put before wasting money on a huge wedding. Your wedding day is what you make off it. It's your day, you please yourselves not others. I carried a prayer book with a single or hard on top and my maid of honour (we started school together) and my two flowergirls all carried muffs. Strange getting married in Australia but it was the middle of winter. It was a simple wedding that didn't blowout any budgets and we've been married 53 years in July. You have both got your heads screwed on right.

We’ve done all different variations of joint accounts, own accounts etc….. by far the best is joint household account and savings with separate own accounts…it’s better to be able to plan birthday surprises, or weekends away etc….without it “appearing on paper” before the surprise date arrives…(I love sneaking round planning romantic presents, activities and surprises)…even some simple special chocolates and a film in the garden can be spoilt if the other person gets pinged by the bank with the download costings beforehand 😳🥺🤫 xxx Great vlogging by the way!

I know this is a few months late but I had lots of flowers at my wedding! We didn’t use real flowers though! We made our own bouquets and everything so they can never fall apart and die! I still have my bouquet just as I had it on my wedding day! Way cheaper and you can customize it yourself. My grandmas and aunts helped put together flowers to help contribute it was so sweet!

I’m almost 50. Some of my cousins of another generation have done the destination weddings and they are just too hard to get to them. I want them to have the wedding they want of course. It is the day that sets the tone for their marriage. It is a great idea if you would like to keep it small. I think if my family were smaller and I had less cousins closer in age it would be great fun. It is making a lot of people travel and need accommodation. I do gift the same as if local even when I miss it.

Hi Ell in terms of flowers maybe look into get silk ones, I had them at my wedding and they were lush for my bouquet, plus I still have them displayed in our house :)
