I find it funny and reassuring that Luke was talking about anxieties, sleep issues, and realizing how old you are, at this point in time. I've been going through a lot of health issues lately, both physical and mental, and its been making the pre existing mental health issues i had worse. But it's also been causing anxiety spikes, sleep issues exactly like Luke said (wake up every hour on the hour), and has basically been causing an existential/mortality crisis in my head. I dunno it's just nice to hear someone who has his life together far more than i could ever hope to is having similar issues as I am; you always think the celebs you like don't really have those problems.

Never missed a flight. Did walk five hours to get to one once. Having a day to adjust is a great idea. It also gives you a day to actually get your luggage, which can be an issue, and in some places you can get a couple of extra nights in the hotel before the trip starts and after it finishes for £20, eat out for £5 a day and save £800 on your flights by going on Thursday and coming back on Tuesday.

I think I remember a video from a while back discussing games you never finished, or games you didn't like that most people did - and I'm pretty sure that Luke brought up Persona 5 as a kind of game where he totally gets the draw of it, but at one point the game introduces a character that is just so unpleasant and sexually exploitive, that even though within the fiction of the game he was just sort of oblivious and unaware of how uncomfortable he was making one of the other characters, it was still just, blech, and Luke ended up stopping the game and not finishing it, even though he liked a lot about the rest of it. I bring it up because I feel like Luke might easily come to the same opinion if he were to try playing one of the modern Fire Emblem games. There is excellent gameplay to the series that they reinvent in cool ways each title, as well as some genuinely good and interesting character writing, but there is also SO MUCH of that kind of circumstance of 'the character in-universe has some explanation for why they are This Way, but the result is clearly intended to fit a specific kind of fanservice.' Fire Emblem Fates probably has the worst of it, with characters like Camilla being central to the overall story, but Awakening and Three Houses also have plenty of 'ugh, please go away' type characters even if they're more on the sides - it's not always that same kind of Mega-Creep Factor, but it's definitely there. It might not be the exact same thing of course, and either way Ellen may be happy to ignore that to dig into the cheesy anime romance + tactical battle setpieces, but if Luke ever DID decide to pick up a Fire Emblem game, I'd recommend he try Echoes: Shadows of Valentia. It's a remake of the second ever game for the 3DS, and it still has some dumb bad tropes, but not nearly to the same degree. ^I say all this as a longtime Fire Emblem fan since before Awakening. Love the series, played through most of the modern games multiple times - but I always have to grit my teeth through certain segments
