I'm a Metalhead and have been since high school in the mid-80s. However, I've been in love with "After The Lovin'" ever since I first heard it in 1976 at the age of 9. Not only have I never stop loving that song, I actually now love it more than ever. It is one of the greatest songs ever recorded; a perfect song in my opinion. I've done it at karaoke a few times and intend to do it again many more times. Engelbert Humperdinck is the man with the golden voice. 🙌🏻

Met you in a hotel restaurant on our way to Saudi Arabia in the 80s. You were sitting just to our right. I couldn't believe it. I was staring in disbelief. You looked up and smiled. I went over and asked for your autograph. You gave me a photo and you asked my name and signed it. We had a little chat and I thanked you. You were so nice and polite. I have always loved your voice. Seeing this for the first time. Tremendous SINGER. Release me took the world by storm and the world warmed to him. As a songwriter we often wonder how a BIG STAR would sing one of our songs. I wrote a song with him in mind but never demoed it and still lies in my song book. I recorded many songs in Porkupine studio in MOTTINGHAM where I met his and Tom Jones's piano player TED TAYLOR and his son NICK who both engineered my recordings and owned the studio. Lovely people and TED told me stories about ENGLEBERT and what a fine chap he was. Always smiling and joking at rehearsals. A big prankster even when water was thrown over him. He took it all in fun. I won't repeat what he said about TOM JONES. Who's there to come after him. SADLY, NO ONE SO FAR.

My husband just passed away at 87 from dementia.When we met 40 years ago we used to go to a little cafe and we would dance.I would play the same songs over and over again on the juke box..After the loving,This moment In time.Were our too favorite.As we got older we still loved to dance.About month before he passed I played After the Loving.We held each other and danced.Unfortunately that was the last time.I love Engelbert.

"Winter World of Love" was the first song I ever heard by Englebert and will always be my favorite among all the others. which I also love. Saw him in concert four times and my sister was a secretary of his local fan club. Many wonderful memories listening to his songs now for 55 years. God Bless him!

Known Englebert and his wife and children for many years, I first met him when I was working with one of his sons on the set while working in my career as an actor. I was also working on my music as well some time I asked him if he had a job for me he said yes and I trimmed his palm trees at his home in Beverly hills, but my thoughts were to works in the industry , but it's been rough and I have always been friends with his family and helped them with what I could. I will miss his wife so much since she was well loved buy many. God BLess her

I recall hanging out with his niece, she invited me back to her uncle's house to play snooker. Unknown to myself at that time I wasn't sure who he was, although I had listened to his music for years. It was only when I saw the music room with the plaque up on the walls that I realised who he was.
