Wow that's a really good tip I have a 400 60 over block I need to do that with I just have it hosed down with WD40 and I really want to protect this block thanks for the tip

I think I welded some washers to the top of some bolts I had...

Hi Rick.... It would depend on how much you would like to cover and how many coats you would like on your block....I just used one coat... It sets up and another coat could be sprayed on.... Its up to you how much protection you would like.... I dont think I even used a half a can on mine.....

Did you do the bores and the underside . What do you used on the rest of the block

Yes... On the bores and underside, deck surface... any machined surface you would like to protect... the rest of the engine can be painted...

I would, and a very good cleaning before assembly....
