Hi, I have 2gensets Perkins 4016 needs to be synchronized, both runs at 1400rpm nominal frequency 46.7 hz both with pandaros governor and mx341 avr is it essential that both sets must run on 1500rpm (nominal rated rpm)before setting sw1 and sw2 in deep sea module 8610 or I can skip this step and continue with 1400rpm rated rpm

If Pre lubrication is so essential for these engines what happens when the engine is part of a standby generator set and it is required to start at a moments notice to supply electrical power,there is no pre lubrication then. I assume engine bearing damage must occur then?

Can you assist me please. I have a similar engine am working. The model is P4012 Landfill Gas is the fuel. The unit start and attain rented speed but when you load up to 35%, it strip without any dragging or decrease in speed. And the fault code that appear on the power wizard is Gas Knock fault Active . I have inspected all safety and even isolated some with no result in sight. Can you assist me on this? Thanks as I await your response soon

Check the knock ( detonation) in which cylinder connect EST program to check it the knock it happened because 1- check all cylinders for misfire by check cylinders exhaust temp. If any cylinder had low exhaust temp. 2- connect exhaust gas analyzer and check A/F ratio when engine go to close loop at more the 30% load 3-check air inlet temp. If more than 145F check after cooler 4- remove spark plugs and check for high deposits on piston or coolant,oil leak in cylinder 5- check detonation sensors and harness
