Dude I love the simple fix you did. I never would have thought about just putting holes in a chunk of plastic to replace a rubber piece like that lol.

you should check your wiring harness, the wires become brittle and touch causing other idling and charging problems, also clean flame trap.

Yeh thanks for the tip, everything on a car this old is falling to pieces! One of the bonnet hinge (3mm thick steel) just snapped so I had to make a new one myself. Happy days :)

Hiya, nice to see another view of your interests and a proper car with little or no computerisation. Keep up the good work.

Cheers - it really is the Open Source car, since there's so much info posted about it online. I'm planning to use my CNC router to make replacement parts for it, if anything else breaks.

+OpenTronic I like it when 3D,laser and cnc are used to replicate mass manufactured parts to repair items. The thought of taking 💷💷💷away from the pocket of big industry is such a buzz 😀😀😀😀😀👍

especially when the big industry in question has decided to stop making good cars, and these days just make cheap plasticky things with engineered obsolescence (Volvo!)

Clean your engine, you may be able to see more of what could be happening, I hate to see a dirty engine on an old Volvo.

Between 7:52 and 7:59 the video acts up. Quick question, so all you did was tighten up the bolts on the carburetor correct?
