That Stag and Esprit should have a baby together. My two favourite cars.

Two very different cars. The Stag has never really appealed to me though I appreciate it has its admirers.

L.o.t.u.s. sorry to hear about the issue. I have had a long dream of owning an Esprit. But I'm realizing that I may not be up to the task of the work envolved. I do like your vids.

Thank you, and yes, I’m aware of the acronym 😅 - to be fair, there’s nothing specific to an Esprit that has gone wrong - it’s a 39 year old car which hasn’t yet had any major restorative work on it. I think if you can find one with recent(ish) money spent on its engine, it’d be as good as any classic.

Removal angle was too shallow, need to keep the box as low as possible until engine is nearer 30-40 degrees inclined. Although not necessary, its also easier with rear discs and studs removed to avoid fouling the stub ends of the removable chassis cross brace. Also would recommend removing reverse light switch as its very easy to tweak it as it clears the rear floor. Looking forward to next instalment....

Yes reversing light switch was removed (eventually). They were compromised on the angle of dangle as the post lift arms were at the top of their travel. Thanks for the tips, they’ll come in handy in reverse when it goes back in.

Thank you very much. Yes, me too - starting to get FOMO on the upcoming events I could have attended with it.
