Compared to a new generation Airbus it is still pretty roary, but of course all the new generation engines are on a whole new level when it comes to quietness 😍

Accelerating in the 748 is indeed pretty smooth, unfortunately I never had the chance to try the 747-400, but I suppose there have been numerous improvements made ;)

​​​@@flying_mbmYou and I have a very different definition of "Engine roar" 😂 For me, you could only hear the engine roar in the front of the engine view. With Middle of the wing or behind the wing view like this, Hearing any buzzsaw/roar of the engine here is impossible (if there was one). That's why any engine sound enthusiast channel would only feature the front engine view, or majority of the video titled "engine roar". For instant, "Fuel to Noise generator" channel. Yes, even if it's on quiet plane like 747-8 or 787, front engines view makes a lot of different in term of engine sound and I've seen a proper roar from them.
