@@flying_mbm they're so organic, with all the moving parts they look like an eagle's feathers meanwhile Airbus wings are borderline rigid
@Odontomango5 ай бұрын
@@kingghidorah8106I absolutely agreed. And then when A350 comes out, it is just a weird looking wing. That Airbus rigid looking wings don't go well with the curve up raked wingtip. It's just so out of place. Boeing has been using raked wing design since the 1990s too. They are the OG. When they designed the 767-400er wing. Then they put it on newer 777 models. After that, 787 comes out with even less angular, more curve raked wingtip, which they put on this new 747 and the 777x. Airbus just recently started using curve up raked winglets when A350 and A330neo came out in the 2010s. All their older design widebodies have the A330 design winglet or the one that they put on A300, A320family, A380. Those actually matched with rigid wing design better.
@kingghidorah81065 ай бұрын
@@Odontomango The A350's tips are called non planar wingtips, and yes the a350 wings are dull. The A330-300's wings flex much more. The wings on the A330Neo are beautiful except for the wide and short track covers on the trailing edge.
@Odontomango5 ай бұрын
@@kingghidorah8106 While I don't find Airbus wing as attractive as Boeing's. If I have to pick a favorite. It'd be A330neo. I preferred this winglet over A350's non planar. In some angles, the overview shape looks quite similar to the 787. Angles like directly top/below view, or around 45 degree from behind. That's what I discovered when doing planespotting. 👌

That wing looks kind'a "fishy" to me! 🤔 Bit too crisp and hardly any wingtip movement...! Anyone? (...and yes, I did fly in one of these; FRA-JNB)

how did you get this so stable ...with an ipad? did you mount this to the window? great capture
@flying_mbm3 жыл бұрын
Well, it is quite a challenge, you have to keep your arms stable holding the iPad to the window, pressing it against the glass, which is quite exhausting, especially for a lionger peroid of time. Also when taking off, the plane starts tovibrate and so does the iPad, luckily it was a foggy day and you could not really see it vibrating. ...Those all were good reasons for me to get myself a GoPro. It makes smoother videos and it is way more comfortable to record takeoffs and landings with it 😅

"Achten Sie auf die Ansage der Crew". Früher hieß es "Ansage der Besatzung". Ob Air France auch sich angepasst hat? Glaube ich nicht.

Die Begriffe werden meines Wissens nach analog zueinander verwendet. Bei Air France heißt es übrigens thtsächlich "l'equipage", aber soweit ich weiß verwenden die auch den Ausdruck "La crew".
