There have been a thousand instances where you have wondered if a particular car came with a certain engine. While manufacturers have their reasons to not do it, there is nothing stopping us from imagining your own hotrod versions of everyday cars. As an enthusiast you are always looking for a fun car that's very affordable and there is nothing like plonking a big engine into a small car.
We list out some of the fantasy builds we would do if we could swap an engine for another. These are not legal but if you have access to a race track, these are the most fun you can have on a budget.

Electric swap kits will be a desirable option for good chassis cars which have now stopped production (and parts will get costlier / rare). We can continue owning good looking cars with good chassis, yet, get it legally endorsed even if their 15/20 year "legal non-polluting" age runs out.

I don't think we have enough technicians of that skill level and it will be more difficult to get it certified compared to a CE swap which is already nearly impossible. May be it will become possible in the future if some"startup" takes up the idea 😁

New gen Figo came with the 1.5 TiVCT (Dragon) NA engine with 6 speed DCT. No one really talked about that car. Tried to find a used one recently but there are almost no cars available. Brio with the 1.5 is definitely a dream swap. I’ve made my sister buy a used Brio as her first car. When she is done with it I’ll definitely do the swap. An FD2 Civic Type R replica is my dream project in India. The FD2 CTR is the last NA Type R which was JDM only. We have both the chassis and the engine here(kind of). It will be better to use the K24 instead of the K20 and if possible K20Z3 head. One day 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

Must be sounding strange but would have put the 1.3 MJD tuned by Maruti on a Fiat Punto. Fiat did the handling brilliantly, the hydraulic steering was fantastic but they did the worst possible tuning of their own engines. A Ciaz's engine would have reduced the punto's huge turbolag and made it drivable in the city.
