I would agree that looks like it got hot on cylinder 2 broke the ring land, Was there any knock warnings in the logs? Maybe dial back the timing a couple degrees or engine for next year with milled pistons/lower compression?

To be fair, not looked at the logs yet. We loaded and went home. We will have some custom pistons to go in over winter

Could some of the piston damage be from the bit of the valve that’s missing bouncing round and hitting it? Not an engine builder just wondering if the damage wasn’t all knock related.

@@Ismaak5 i even said "bet some internet cunt will tell me i done it wrong" aha! I think this is a case of a failed injector - or something fuelling related. Ive stropped the engine further and the rest of the engine seems perfect. Built engine over winter...

Looks like it got hot and/or could use a larger ring gap, whenever you start running boost or nitrous it's recommended to run a larger gap to stop the ends touching and the ring buckling and breaking the piston I learned the hard way years ago 😂
