Eden hats off to you mate. I know this video cannot of been easy to make. Speaking out, especially to the whole world, cannot be easy. One myth I’d like to dispel though (as sadly so many doctors including yours keep pedalling it). You cannot make yourself diabetic. Well you can bring it on earlier but just like type 1, type 2 is a genetic disease. But certainly changing eating habits can stave it off for a time. I am type 2 diabetic. My younger brother is also type 2 diabetic. My dad is diabetic, as was my mum and my grandad on both sides. If you get a chance go to a Desmond day. It is run by specialist diabetic nurses who will help you understand it more. I live with it every day and it’s been hard. But it’s also with some adjustment been perfectly liveable with. If you ever want to talk about it or anything just give me a shout. I’m always here.

Ill be honest, i dont know too much about it - other than what the doctors were telling me, My blood sugars were dangerously high and 12 weeks in my blood sugars are back in a normal range. It could be my diet was causing that with the amount of sugar intake i had in foods and drinks. Either way... The Symptoms i had which were pointing that way are completely gone

My mates k10 running on carbs is far better than the k11 turbos ive been in. I think the way to go is supercharged
@GizFab7 күн бұрын
Then i would say you have not been in a Properly sorted K11 Turbo. 145hp+ With matching torque figures? Not a chance on a Stock Micra Engine with Carbs. Show me a Dyno Graph.
@alexstephen56957 күн бұрын
Lovely but its a 8k build, love gizfab but right now fhey cant even provide an osaka spoiler. Their turbo kit is a partial kit as is the supercharger kit. I love they are the place to go but they really are not selling complete kits and in which case anyone that can weld is to the hard work that is the manifold. They dont allow for injectors etc. You can get similar power running it on motorbike carbs easily.
@GizFab7 күн бұрын
We are quite Clear and Open about what our kits do and do not include. Our Turbo Kit is a "Full Kit" Including the Turbo Charger. Our Supercharger Kit is only missing the Supercharger - But we provide all the instructions on where to source. You will 100% Not get 140hp+ On a Stock Micra Engine from Bike Carbs.

Nice video mate but i have to admit, i never understood those kinds of problems. It is simple: do not eat garbage and move like a person should. Honestly you can be slim without ever being hungry. Just eat real food, as much as you want to make you satiated. Glad to see though that you decided to do something about it. I hope you realize that the road to being normal weight is extremely simple
@GizFab8 күн бұрын
I thought the same "Just Eat Better Food". But honestly i wish it was that simple... Without putting a tin foil hat on. Are they putting stuff in Junk Foods to make you crave and be back for more? I have No touched Fast-Food in 12+ Weeks - Due to working late one evening finishing at 11.30pm i decided a McDonalds would be a quick fix. I was dead against it but tired and wanted to go to bed, but also not eaten since 1pm the same day. Big Mac Meal and it made me extremely Ill. Id like to say i've weaned myself fully off fast food as i no longer crave McDonalds, KFC, Burger king etc. As before i used to obsess over it. The Injections certainly block that Craving for foods. So maybe as a tool, it can be used to retrain the brain and flush whatever chemicals are in these foods that make you obsessively crave them
@mantzini8 күн бұрын
@@GizFab Thanks you for your reply and let me just say that i commented before watching the whole video and realizing what you were eating. Of course food corps put things in food that make you crave it, namely SUGAR and all of its 100+ variations. I am sure the doctor told you that sugar spikes insulin and then the body does not like insulin crashing so it makes you want to eat again. But then also, haribo and coke? I can understand fast food but man keep the hell away from that other stuff. Keep also in mind that limiting your calorie intake drastically may not be sustainable for the longer run so now that you lost the initial chunk of weight, increase the calories (with whole foods always) and go for the healthy long stretch a.k.a the rest of your life. Some walking each day will go a long way to reducing sugar levels. Anyways have a good one and keep it up. It is a shame to waste years overweight so try your best! Greets from Greece man!

Just a suggestion, would you be on for trying a plant based diet my friend was in a real bad place when it came to food and his doctor suggested he tried a plant based diet and he's so much better for it 😊
@GizFab8 күн бұрын
100% Plant based isn't for me. I do love my meat. But - We have introduced MUCH more fruit and Veg into our diet and meals. We absolutely love pepper and onions and introduce them into meals that we never did before and it improved the meals as a result
@ciaranboyle3118 күн бұрын
My missus is plant based, so a lot of my meals are plant based. I gave up meat and dairy for a month a few years ago and my energy levels soared I even need less sleep now as well. I only eat meat once or twice a month now and I feel so much better for it. When I get cravings I have meat substitutes. I.e seitan mock meats etc.

Well done mate. Your health is important and recognising when it’s not in a good place is the first step. Sharing this with your audience is probably pretty daunting too but, I think blokes seeing other blokes working through it is a lot more motivating than some random on the TV. Looking forward with your progress professionally and personally. (P.s. Weight loss is free horsepower!)

Takes a strong person to admit they have a problem and then do something about it. I'm down from 120kg to 101kg aiming for 95kg, 2 years ago I couldn't run 500 metres and I'm now training for a 50km ultra marathon. Keep at it mate. Well done.

@ Thanks mate, if you decide to do that run let me know I'll come and do it with you. Running has changed my life!! From the books I've read about it 150-180 mins of exercise a week reduces your chances of dying of anything by 5 times!! Exercise really is the answer to a lot.
