Is the trolling valve so you can leave one engine in neutral while the others in gear..As not to do damage to trans spinning while not running..OR a slower idle for trolling ? Just wondering as I am buying a baot with this same set-up..BUT I don't think it has trolling valves..I am wondering if I can run on one engine and save fuel while other is off on my journey. I don't want to risk damage to my engine thats not running and turning my wheel..

The trolling valve allows the output shaft to spin slower than it would at idle by allowing the transmission to slip a bit. I wouldn't try to run one engine to save fuel. If you want to save fuel the best option is to find your hull speed or sweet spot where you burn the least fuel per mile.

Defining cummins business practices is a bit complicated for a youtube comment. Read this wikepedia page. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cummins
