I have to say, Noonan, as well as Steve Morris, are the go to builder's for reliable/big power bullets today, and for a while in the future!!

How about a change in cylinder head design with a 40 degree or 36 degree combustion chamber instead of 58.5 degree head ??? This would make the pistons a lot lighter and faster acceleration . Also what about a Jesel style rocker arms ??? A lot simpler in design and lighter weight in the rocker arms . Current super stock Hemi's use Jesel type rocker arms.

Good video but disappointed I didn't get to hear one running on an engine stand or dyno.

Do they have street engines?
@EngineBuilder2 жыл бұрын
Not 100% sure, but they are definitely focused on professional race applications primarily
@lordpula11932 жыл бұрын
@@EngineBuilder Yea I know they're just so awesome but so expensive. maybe if they did a non billet. Their blocks are around 10k but then full price is 60 70k. not sure what's included in that and why it jumps so high? Wonder if you got the block for around 10k and got someone else to the rest how much it would be?
@gullreefclub Жыл бұрын
@@lordpula1193A block is probably just a bare block and need line boring/honing etc, probably needs liners, crank, cam, pistons, rods, and a complete top end plus oiling system. In the video it was said a complete engine was ready for you to bolt on your intake, blower, ignition system so in reality buying a complete engine is the was to go in my opinion because of what you get for the money.

Wonder why the 4.9 inch bore spacing?
@2401vernon3 жыл бұрын
I think thy mean it is a 4.9l
@jamessheets92053 жыл бұрын
My guess is that is the maximum bore spacing for the classes they are trying to cater to?
@dicknijenhuis98943 жыл бұрын
Giving it the larger bore spacing gives more room for the lifters and pushrods. It also means the pushrods don't encroach into the intake runner as much as the smaller block which allows for improved port design.
@jamessheets92053 жыл бұрын
@@dicknijenhuis9894 If those are the only reasons I'm surprised that they stopped at 4.900. At a minimum I would have choosen 5.0 but 5.3 would be more gooder :)
@chrisstavro46983 жыл бұрын
I believe pro stock went with the Ford's 4.9" spacing back in the '80s, whereas Chevy was 4.84" and Chrysler was 4.80". It allows larger bore and shorter stroke for the 500 cu.in class limit. That allows larger valves and higher rpm. why not bigger? legacy
