People get chills when someone says "Hemi". When you hear one run down the track, the sound is like no other engine. American made at it's best. In this case there is no replacement for displacement.

Get to know any Mopar guys in your area, get online and seek Mopar (and other) sites. Hit car shows and hob-knob with the muscle car guys, you might get a basket-engine lead. Someone will know of an eccentric loner top end muscle-car guy who keeps a stash of Hemi parts. You'll have to sift through his warped and cracked crankshafts, blocks with welded windows and missing main caps, and a partial set of rods with replacements that may need balancing. $$$$$. I was fortunate to live back in the day when you could pick up a Hemi for $1,500, or baskets for less. Been there, done that.

On the wedge there's a Stage VI head which have a raised port and ypu can use those (expensive) heads on a low deck wedge and any RB intake fits. I was just wondering if there's a head like that for a Hemi - esp one that accepts stock valve covers.

Draglist is an awesome source to read all about 50's 60's 70's fuel cars. Pontiac,Ford,Chevy teams having to run Chryslers big block in their race cars. Some tried to hide the heads to make you think the engine is powered by the Car brand body style. lol Chryslers big block is the baddest hot rod engine ever. Todays top fuel cars are the fastest cars on the planet. Hemi Nito power baby. After Chrysler stopped building them guys like Keith Black took over going from iron to aluminum.Mopar sells them in their catalog. Direct Connection.

There are two Mopar milestones that come to mind here: the 1956 Chrysler 300B had the first US production engine to produce 1 HP/ci: the 355 ci (gen 1) HEMI producing 356 HP! The 1992 Dodge Daytona IROC was the first production US engine to produce over 100 HP/L, with it's inter-cooled turbo-charged Lotus Engineering DOHC 2.2 L engine putting out 225 HP!

My Dad was a mechanic and men who work with car's don't care where the money comes from the cars become a idol behind God and family. The car is also a deadly weapon with a quick get away, we will only know how many people have been murdered with car's and murdered for car's in Heaven. The roaring twenties would have never happened had it not been for the automobile. Took the roads to so we can't have horses for vehicles or aknowlege that people are atomic vehicles. Road are supposed to be a right to car's are industries and never had the right to take the people's road's

What bothers me about this video is that they left out putting a dab of RTV on the ends of the split main seal, nor did they offset the seal 3/8th of an inch from the block. So the break in the seal lines up with the break in the block. That seal is now an oil leak.
