Engineer is more known to be the Zombies' side of Crowd Damage, aka role similar to the Peashooter. Most balanced compared to the Peashooter. Turbo Jackhammer is what Hyper should be lol. In GW2 specifically

In my opinion, Engineer in GW1-2 is kinda like Rose where he's a weird support character due to getting a lot of assists, the thing about Engineers weapon, it does very good direct damage and has no damage fall off so it's usually easy to land one shot on somebody, but not usually enough to follow it up, you could also use the 20 damage spalsh but those won't kill fast enough, so you kinda have to rely on your team to get kills while you help, I do think he can be a good DPS but if you aren't very skilled then he is usually just getting assists.

Engineer in GW1 and GW2 are hardcore damage characters, nit support.

engineer in GW2 is definitely not a support especially with his current kit there: a stun, gattling gun and a speed boost compare it to rose with the: aoe slow, immunity, turn into goat roses get more assist than engineers since all you need to do as engineer (if you are not playing electrician) is to play like a peashooter and try to be accurate

Bolt blaster is genuinely stupid. Dunno how they could look at something that made him immortal from the front, did eye watering damage, AND give him damage resistance, and think "Oh yes. This seems reasonable." It's so overtuned.

As an Engineer (and his variants) main in all 3 games, the little things such as replacing his drone with a gatling weapon and his stun grenade being replaced by swarm still annoys me. There have been many incidents between GW2 and GW where I press Y expecting to get the drone but instead get the bolt blaster...

I completely get it, because I’ve actually been in situations where I’ve pressed Y on my controller thinking I’ll get a turret in GW1 or a drone in GW2, then I’ll get into the ability in that game and be so confused. It’s wild 😭

Zombot drone is superior for the sound design alone, if an ability isnt satisfying when its idle then its not good. also gw2 is so peak, 4 characters with mounted abilities which 3 of them dont behave any differently
