I gave my Vauban the Wolf Sledge as well for years now, but not just i have a good riven for it but because it has a giant Wrench Skin which fits perfectly his theme.^^ The throwing mechanic was just a nice bonus on top, with the new arcanes makes it even better.

One thing I noticed at 6:03 You can not have precision intensify and umbral intensify at the same time. Similar to how you can not stack umbral intensify with base intensify. Other than that note, thanks for the awesome build.

Hey there, a question on the downranking of the dual mods: I get why you would want to do that for Heat to maximize Heat procs as in your Gauss video, but here we just need as much electric weighting to comfortably keep Influence going right? And wouldn't reducing your overall elemental damage on the weapon by 90% from downranking (and no additional bonuses like Nourish being in play) almost half your absolute initial Influence damage from 210% worth of elemental proc damage to just 120% for a better electric weighting(that might not even be neccessary)? Edit for politeness: Forgot to say, good video as always and you are always a great inspiration to dust off some old equipment and try stuff out!

It's an influence build, and viral doesn't deal damage. You want as many electric procs as possible because that's the status effect that actually deals damage.

@@SyrinEldarin Influence deals initial damage with the Viral procs as with any others it spreads, now i get that electric procs can deliver further damage after that, but enemies are already dead before most of the time. And in that regard, enemies getting killed that quickly means additional viral stacks will also mean an increase in damage as you are unlikely to have capped the 10 stacks till they're dead.

Nice to see a lesser used frame. I was experimenting the other day trying to see if helios could strip for votrex in a helpful way but it seems incredibly inconsistent (I don't think it could target that). Interesting to see Bastille is still king on the king of CC.

OK, there is weird bug or it is intended to not work that way, so when you throw vortex and then throw bastille the enemy armor is not reducing instead only when use bastille alone.... Why is not working with the vortex then? 🤔

Bastille only strips armor when enemies are caught by its cc. Vortex's cc takes priority over Bastille's cc, so the enemies aren't considered caught in Bastille. It's always been this way. If you want to drag enemies into Bastille, use tether mines instead. They'll automatically let go of enemies once they enter Bastille's radius.

You haven't done a Vauban build because of the introduction of eximus units took away Vauban's primary survivability tool leaving a squishy frame vulnerable. This build doesn't address that. Funny that I also don't see any in your gameplay footage. Does Bastille strip eximus units armor if they are not suspended? Is shield gate the tool you are using to survive? No shield gate mods? I really don't understand how you handle when you start getting bum rushed by eximus units?

Bastille does strip through overguard, they just get killed usually by the sledge throw after 2-3 throws. They rarely ever make it close enough to me.

Not a camping setup - too much busywork when spikeshooters do the job more efficiently, and the build with barely any survivability or energy - cant even shieldgate to full, this is unsustainable in practice and you wouldn't even last 20 min on Lua and 'camping' implies going much longer than that. Catalyzing shields required. Wolfsledge is a funny weapon, but investing plat, all the potato-forma and adapter into it is not really worth it.

They aren't getting stale. There's a bunch of different weapons to use them on and this channel specifically shows synergies between loadouts rather than just a build by itself. It's natural for videos to focus on new content and gear when it is added. Aznvasions likes doing fun/interesting interactions, which nearly every video is about. Stale setups are the creators who make build videos but 45% of them are using Gloom and another 45% are using Nourish and they somehow don't get sick of making the same content for years.

The issue with Vauban is that he has no identity anymore. You're better off just running Octavia and going afk. Specially if you subsume Ivar's quiver so that you don't have to spam dock like an idiot every 40/60 seconds. It's just like rhino. Why'd you ever pick a sub optimal frame over any of the others? Specially if it's not fun and the only way to play them effectively is to camp... again, you're better off running Octavia and going afk xD Back in the day having a repelling Bastille Vauban was awesome, but nowadays you'd hardly ever run anything that requires sitting on an objective all day like when we used to be forced to run endless defense missions in the void to get the new prime parts... It's sad to see how badly some of the old Warframes have aged. Like Valkyr. I love her, but half of her kit is fucking useless garbage compared to perfect Warframes like Gauss or Voruna. And look at Loki.... Poor Loki.

I'm not sure what you mean. Archon Stretch solves any energy issues you may have via Tesla Nervos, and Vortex will always be useful as it is still by far the best grouping ability in the game and can cc whole tiles of enemies with max range. He has decent enough damage scaling on his Flechette Orb and armor strip over a wide radius as well that doubles as an armor buff. He's not really stationary as you can simply recast his abilities in different spots at will.

To give you an idea of why, if I wanted to camp, I'd just go Octavia, sit in one spot with Ivar's arrow to go invisible without the need of crouch spamming, and I'd just scroll through IG without really paying attention to the game. In other words, if you're gonna camp for efficiency's sake and not really have fun, then you'd be better of going full afk with a better frame.

@@Fox5z Not really no. I mostly play for fun, but if there's one thing Vauban isn't, is fun or original. I mean, how many characters are there that are similar to Vauban, and probably stronger or even more useful? For example: Nidus: can group up enemies just like Vauban. Camp a spot endlessly, and even survive with way less effort than Vauban, while also being immune to status effects + having access to augments to buff weapons and being able to carry arcanes to bump up your damage since his insane survivability makes him ridiculously versatile. Again Octavia for going afk while camping. Khora to mindlessly whip enemies, group them up just like Vauban, having insane control, insane survivability, double pets that can be exploited, insane damage with her whip... I'm not sure what Vauban's identity is, but usually Warframes are essentially tools. You'll always pick the best tool for the job, right? If you have to peel a potato, you could totally use a spoon for it, but why on earth would you pick a spoon over something that was specifically designed for the task to do it as efficiently as possible, as a peeler... Same thing happens with Vauban. Why'd you pick him over any other frame? What makes him special? That's my issue with him. That's why I'm saying he doesn't really have an identity. To put it into perspective, he's basically in the same spot as Loki. Why on earth would you pick him over Ivara, Ash, Octavia, or even Voruna? Yes, you can take him to the hardest missions if you want and make him work, but why on earth would you? It's not like he has anything special or fun going for him... That's my point basically.
