Matt, you were so close trying to figure out how to make the jets turn you properly. Instead of using two servos on each engine with matching controls, you give them a single servo with independent controls. You also don't need to reduce the angle the engines fire at for a spin, quite the opposite actually. The closer the angle is to 90°, the tighter the spin will be. By reducing the angle, the engines are giving more of their thrust towards increasing your altitude, rather than changing your direction. Left engine forward = W Left engine back = S Right engine forward = E Right engine back = D Then, when you want to fly forwards press S&D, to fly backwards it's W&E. To rotate right press S&E, to rotate left it's W&D. This method also gives you the ability to do a sort of banking arc, left or right, forwards and backwards, by just firing one engine at a time. Happy Engineering 😊

Okay. The video title promised a *hypersonic* jetpack. We got a *supersonic* jetpack. So in trailmakers for flying vehicles for pitch and roll you can use helicopter engines without blades to pitch and roll because they create torque so that’s how you can pitch and roll without using thrusters and servos

Just for future reference, you can use Logic blocks (or, and and such), which takes input, and then connect them to the other blocks to serve as multiple inputs to the same blocks.

Minor thing - you made a supersonic jetpack, not a hypersonic jetpack. Supersonic is Mach 1 (~760mph), and hypersonic is Mach 5 (~3,800mph). (that's simplified a bit - hypersonic is defined based on something other than speed, so it isn't exactly Mach 5)

Having the engine at the top, and the pilot and other gubbins hanging down, so that the thing will be intrinsically stable, "hanging" from it's engine, is a mistake. It's a popular misconception in rocketry. I'm not sure why though, I think I understood it at one point, but that day has passed. As a Civil Engineer you're probably better with static things than dynamic ones, bridges not generally having a thrust to weight ratio. But anyway... engine at the top is unstable, for very important rocket science reasons. How the game implements it's physics, I dunno, but it's wrong. Unless the gimbal jet is just hard-coded for "down" no matter what, but that's not very realistic. What really happens, is that any imbalance gets worse, rather than correcting itself, and the thing nosedives. But again, proper proper rocket science, don't ask me.

Really you could also use different buttons to rotate each rotor like you would do tank controls. If you for example Left side rotor - W forward - S backwards Right side rotor - E forward - D backwards To go forward you'd press W and E, or S and D for backwards, but then you can press S and E to rotate one way, or W and D to rotate another way instead of adding more parts. I also haven't finished the video while typing this comment so if he does do that later in the video and I forget to delete my comment then oops.
