I have graduate w/ a EE about 15 years ago. I am just watching the video in 2x w/o any note. I want to see how useful it is by doing this way. I am waiting for my practice book to come. I am sure other people are doing this as well. GL on your exam Brinda. Chao.

Why do we some times have to drop the j when calculating, but sometimes (like this case) we have to leave it?

On AC circuits Capacitors/Inductors need to be used (Convert to Zc/Zl), unlike dealing with a DC circuits, you can open/short the circuit respectively. Hope this helps!

R_2^2/(R_2+jR_2)=R_2/(1+JR_2) not *R_2/(1+j). You need to multiple the reciprocal (1-jR_2) the both the top and bottom of the fraction to be left with R_2/1=R_2, making the abs value equal to 10 not *5sqroot(2).

Really? Sounds like fuzzy math to me. R2 must be factored out of the equation as done in the video just not shown.
