bro i have doubt in smps, in honeywell smps, its incoming voltage 440vac, and output is 24vdc in that internal fuse was damage but no other circuit was burned, so we replaced the fuse then we switch on, suddenly a blast sound came in that one capacitor was burnt and liquid like substance came. can able to explain why?

Bro, sorry for pointing out a wrong concept. You said adding two 10mfd capacitors in series becomes capable of added voltage and same value ( 10mfd). I think its wrong. Two capacitors added in series adds up voltage rating but its value comes down. C=(c1×c2)/(c1+c2). Since both capacitors are of 10 mod value, total value becomes 5 mfd.
