The VSB response is partially wrong , the filter actually cuts little part of USB and for this to compensate we send little part of LSB as a vestige, you have shown as whole USB is sent

Madhurima Das its not about the drawbacks but about the applications. SSB is preferred for voice transmission( cuz of high spectral gap). While VSB is preferred for video transmission.
