I really appreciate how you explained holography from my “instant physics” book; thank you.

Must Must reply... Where the hologramic image is to be formed...???
@AitorKTX3 жыл бұрын
Hello Sanjiv, Thanks a lot! I have a question. During the recording step, hologram was created (photographic plate) and real object was present. In the reconstruction step, I assume "the real object does not need to be present anymore" is that assumption correct? Thanks a lot!
@EngineeringPhysicsbySanjiv3 жыл бұрын
Of course, in the reconstruction real object is not present. 3D image can be viewed any time. but for this we need similar laser beam that was used for constructing the image.

To learn Holography.. I've to do optical engeneering... Isn't it

To get Hologram we must use high intensity source?
@sprrez8 ай бұрын
No, it should be a coherent light source which is having same phase.

Sir I have a question show that for a hologram formed with both the object wave and the reference being plane wave consists of a series of Young's interference fringes having an intensity distribution of cos2 type

Its not in scope of our syllabus.. but you can find the answer on the following link in Example 18.1- books.google.co.in/books?id=jStDc2LmU5IC&pg=SA18-PA4&lpg=SA18-PA4&dq=the+hologram+consists+of+a+series+of+Young%27s+interference+fringes+having+an+intensity+distribution+of+the+cos+?+type&source=bl&ots=E0IDKyOYxn&sig=ACfU3U0KUWG2GzqrgRLOmfEdMRHDDYirmA&hl=en&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwj5ybHmqpryAhVWeH0KHTZHCXQQ6AF6BAgdEAM#v=onepage&q&f=false

Wait a second, your image implies the hologram only shows on the exact point where the laser is shining. Is the laser spread out, or does it stay as a point beam?
